Guess the Episode III title!

I am guessing
Episode III: The Balance Shifts

 

I know that some people disagree with this theory, but I reckon it'd work really well:

Now I appreciate the titles of the first two are similar to the Indy originals, while the third suggestion is almost identical; but it's such a cool title I reckon it'd be hard to pass up

There's only on more drawback on my theory (and I'm shooting myself in the foot here):
Who'd have guessed The Phantom Menace? Even after this, who in their right mind would have guessed Attack of the Clones?? Uncle George seems to like surprising us with titles (Let's face it, tESB is pretty weak) which is why he didn't call EpI The Dark Journey Begins and he didn't call EpII The Clone Wars. This is also why he won't call EpIII Rise of the Sith, Fall of the Jedi or some such.
My only hope is that George doesn't read so many suggestions of Mask of Evil that he crosses it off his list

Here's hoping for a title (whatever it is) that makes us shout "YAY!" the first time we hear it.

That´s a great title, Hatter!

Mask of Evil is a good suggestion, but I don´t think it´s specific enough.

RebelScum: I don´t think any of the titles so far has been personal, not even ROTJ. To me, it´s about the Jedi returning to their former strength. It is about Anakin, of course, but not just him. I agree that the story is personal, but titles and story are not the same thing. That´s what makes Star Wars quite unique - the cover is grand and epic, but when you look inside, you discover that it´s really about a small group of people. You also discover that the titles have multiple meanings and are not just about the physical war that is being fought in the films. But they are always referring to the war, let´s not forget that.

"A New Hope" is to me about goodness beginning to regain strength. The Jedi are part of that goodness. That´s your view also, I deem. I agree that this title has a wider meaning than TPM, but nontheless, I believe it would be appropriate to use "Sith" in the EpIII title, for reasons I stated before.

I really hope GL surprises us, though!

But seriously, just know it's going to be something old-fashioned and serial-ish, like...

STAR WARS:
EPISODE III - THE CYBORG OF EVIL
EPISODE III - THE MACHINE OF EVIL
EPISODE III - THE MASTER OF MALEVOLENCE
EPISODE III - THE TRAITOR'S MASK
EPISODE III - DUEL IN THE FIRE

etc.

 

Here is a little observation:
A New Hope & Attack of the Clones - Both first words start w/ an "A"

The Empire Strikes & The Phantom Menace - Both first words start w/ an "T"

Return of the Jedi & . . .

So as Lucas loves to keep symmetry maybe epIII title will begin w/ a word that starts w/ "R", such as

Rebirth of the Sith

Risen the Dark Side

Rightous Anakin No Longer

 

I must say that going by the pattern of titles between the movies:

The Phantom Menance = A New Hope (Participal Adjective Noun)

Return of the Jedi = Attack of the Clones ( Verb Particle Particle Noun)

The Empire Strikes Back = (My guess) The Republic Falls Down or The Empire Rises Forth ( Paticipal Noun Verb Adverb) ...

But just my guesses...

I think it might go back to RotJ's original Title.

"Revenge of the Sith".

I'm probably not the first one to come up with it, I'm sure. But it's perfect to me. I wouldn't put it past Lucas to use it because of RotJ's original title, plus it goes with Maul's line in TPM.

"At last we will have revenge..."

I know... I think we have the same idea, but I don't think the last movie will have "of the" because that has already been taken so the pattern will be like The Empire Striks Back... But GL can do anything he darn well pleases .. In other words, I could be wrong...

Well I've just heard from an insider that it's a 1337 counter striker who makes up the title for this movie. So I guess it's gonna be:

S1a7 Wa75 3p1s0d3 3: T3rr0r1st win

And in English: Star Wars episode 3: Terrorist win

 

Has the title been announced yet? I was reading a movie article today (completely unrelated to Ep3 in fact) and it mentioned the movie 'blahblah', then started talking about Ep.3. The 'blahblah' name would fit right long with the saga names (I thought) and had the silliness that has become normal for SW movie titles.
Anyway, the point that I'm getting at is: has the title been announced yet?

 

Um, no. It's not supposed to be released until the fall of this year.

i may have posted this before, but i don't think so. anyway, despite how it might not be 100% accurate, i still favor Star Wars Episode III: Anakin Kills Everyone.

Do ya think George or Rick McCallum is looking at this thread and taking notes. If they are and one of the titles here becomes the title, the author should get a reward like the rough cut of the movie since it will probably be in post production until a day before the release.

If anyone here turns out to be right, it's probably coincidence, because I think GL has had all three PT titles ready since he wrote TPM.

I agree with stormcloud8. Whatever it is, it's gonna make us all collectively groan. I groaned with TPM, I groaned with AotC, and I fully expect to with EPIII*.
