Guess the Episode III title!

I hope it's yet another "of the" title set up.
We already had two of those so far.

Things that pop into my mind:

The Lost Hero
The Empire Arises
Arise of Evil

 

^ I like 'The Lost Hero'...goes nice with A New Hope.

 

I like 'The Lost Hero' idea....however I feel that hero is to generic of a word for the importance it has in the title. Maybe something along those lines like:

'The Lost Jedi'

I agree on your suggestion. "The Lost Jedi" does sound better. It has the same amount of words as ANH, and would fit very well with Return Of The Jedi since Anakin is redeming in Ep VI.

 

There's only one problem: The word "Jedi" has already been used.

 

'Of The' was used twice so why can't 'Jedi' be used twice?

But seriously I think using 'Jedi' would draw a nice parallel to the OT.

 

The Lost Jedi would work because it could be refering to the Jedi order as a whole or Anakin, like ROTJ.

Seriously, I was thinking about this at work this past summer and I though Episode III: The Galaxy Sith Massacre sounded great. But thats me.

 

I think the parallel with "Jedi" would be that Anakin and the Jedi "get lost" or "lose" in Ep III and then in Return Of The Jedi Anakin returns as a Jedi with his last seconds.

Do you think Yoda's last line from cw ch 20, about the approaching dark storm will be a hint for the title of ep iii?

 

No, it sounds more like a reference to The Approaching Storm.

 

I think the best way to see if a title fits is to list all the episode titles in capitalized letters, including the guessed EpIII title and see if they all flow well together.
I've really gotten used to The Sith Rise Forth and I think it looks very Star Wars:

THE PHANTOM MENACE
ATTACK OF THE CLONES
THE SITH RISE FORTH
A NEW HOPE
THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
RETURN OF THE JEDI

I had another suggestion: The Fall of Knighthood. I don't think it fits, though. It's just not specific enough.
TPM and ANH are unspecific titles, while AOTC, TESB and ROTJ are very specific. EpIII should refer to a specific event as well.

 

If you really want a parallel to ROTJ, you'd be hoping for "Departure of the Jedi," eh?

Lars I definately agree. Of all the suggested fan titles, The Sith Rise Forth is my hands down favorite.

It parallels Return of the Jedi, fits in perfectly with all of the other campy titles, and is descriptive of Anakin's fall to the Dark Side, Palpatine's gaining complete control of the Republic/Empire, and the dominance of Sith over Jedi.

Stating the obvious I guess, but nonetheless...my fave.

 

The title of this thread made me think that "Clutch of Evil" would be a pretty cool title. And hey, it's cheesy enough to fit with the other titles as well.

 

Why not Episode III: Touch of Death?

Or Star Wars Episode III: MurderDeathKill?

The Sith Rise Forth is not bad, but it doesn't exactly roll off the tongue to me.

Something like Fall of the Republic makes the most sense to me.

I'm starting to think that George doesn't plan on naming Ep3!

 

Well the main force.net news page has the possable title which I hope is not the real one because its just awful.And by the way if this is the real title none of us got it right.

 

I think the proposed title is fine. If anything...it is almost a little TOO normal for Lucas. Every other title has made me cringe, this one seems kind of OK.

Actually...now that I think about it, I don't think it is real. It isn't wacky enough for a Star Wars title.

 

If that title is going to be the real one, it's not at all bad (to me). But I don't think it'll use the word Empire as that probably won't be formed until the end of the film.
