Yea it should sound cool, but then remember it has to work for the public, nothing too fancy or nothing with names that normal people won't understand....

 

Fall of the Jedi - if it isn't Return Of The Jedi become a worse title for episode VI.

 

Well, since GL says this will be the last one ever (don't believe him, but I'll play along for the purposes of this post), maybe he'll flout sci-fi convention and turn to other film genres for inspiration.

"Star Wars: The Dark Times"

This makes the most sense. The phrase was even mentioned by Obi-Wan in "A New Hope". Theoretically this will be the darkest of all the Star Wars movies anyway and hopefully we'll see Darth Vader hunting down and killing all the Jedi.

"Dark Times" was a musical I was in at school. Just thought I'd mention that...

 

I doubt that Lucas is counting how many titles has had "of the" thus far, or how many have started with "A" or any pattern other then this: The titles alternate from referencing the good guys then the bad guys. TPM=bad ATOC=good EPISODE III=bad ANH=good ESB=bad ROTJ=good (or at least a bad guy becomming good)

Everything else is up for grabs.

Also the title with suck. The one's you read here and think are corney and stupid are the ones that it will most likely be! Like I really dislike the title "The Dark Empire" and if it was for an infamous comic book serius called "Dark Empire" I might think this could be it.

Well, the Rebellion would have to be organized only after the Old Republic fell. "A Rebel Uprising" or "The Bail Organa Uprising" would work (re: Freedon Nadd?). We all saw the Senator's disgust at the end of EPII when the Clone Fleet deploy to engage the star systems no longer loyal to the Republic. I hate long unexplained gaps but we may NOT see the formation of the Rebel Forces until ANH. Boba Fett won't have to appear in EPIII because that would make his cameo in EPVI more exciting. See, another long unexplained gap in the storyline?!

Episode III: Fall of the jedi

because it is the fall of the Jedi Anakin, and it is the fall of the jedi (the group), and most of the star wars movies seem to have dual meanings...

Revenge of the Sith is the best. The word sith should get equal time. Jedi and Empire are already in titles.

Revenge of the Sith would have worked but there are 2 main problems.

A) The word "of the" have been used to capacity in SW titles. 2 I think is enough. Plus 1 following directly after the other just wouldn't look right.

B) George will never use a title that has been circling around the fan communities for years. He will come up with a different title just on that fact. So if before TPM came out he was ever going to use that title name, it has since changed because of it's lack of originality.

So expect a title with a more in depth meaning.

I always get a kick out of "The Sith Rise Forth". Try saying that out loud without cracking up. It sounds like "The Thith Rith Forth". I certainly hope we don't get this hair-lip title.

Lucasfilm registered a domain name almost two years ago called Riseforth.com

It made people scpeculate on Episode 2's title. So maybe it was in preparation for Episode 3.

The Sith Rise Forth sounds okay.

Also remember to study the Indiana Jones Chronicles titles. The Phantom Menace and Attack Of The Clones have been suspiciously close to The Phantom Train of Doom and Attack of the Hawkmen.
