Guess the Episode III title!

"Empire" being in the title is a definite possibility, too.

 

Lars_Muul's The Republic Goes Down sounds kind of like Igby Goes Down. I really like Igby Goes Down.

 

Billy_Dee_Binks I was just about to post how I was still in favor of 'The Lost Jedi' based on your 'The Lost Hero' idea.

I just really like the sounds of that.

Hmmm...I'm guessing "Empire" won't appear in the title, because it already has in ESB.

Same with "Jedi", for ROTJ.

 

"The" and "of" are also out, then.

 

Wait! So are "A", "New" "Hope", "Strikes" "Back", "Return" "Of", "Phantom Menace", "Attack", "Clones".

GL should call it: Episode III: Game Over.

It's a little to spoilerish to be a title, though. I mean, it gives away the whole point with EpIII!

 

Out of curiosity...what do you all think of The Lost Jedi?

I kind of like it. It refers to Anakin, correct?

 

It can refer to both Anakin and the Jedi as whole.

Just like Return of the Jedi can be talking about Anakin or the Jedi as a group.

Lucas needs to give me a job in marketing. ahah.

 

It's an interesting title, but not weird enough. If Lucas follows the pattern, the title is going to make absolutely no sense at all and sound horrible at first. Like 'Sinister Rules the Day' or something ridiculous. Maybe 'Evil Wins' or 'Death to the Good Guys.'

 

Maybe it will have "Vader" in the title.

Has anyone mentioned that yet?

Birth of Vader?

Dark InVADER?

 

Just because a title isn't particularly specific, doesn't mean that it doesn't sound unique. THE PHANTOM MENACE is somewhat vague, but look at the words it uses. "Phantom". "Menace". Granted, ANH is pretty bland, but that was his first.

Titles like "The Lost Hero" or "The Edge of Darkness" are a little too bland. You see those words in movie titles all the time.

Now, "The Pit of Despair" could easily work. It's somewhat vague, but "pit" and "despair" are more unusual words.


Just because a title isn't "Lightsaber Clash on Lavaplanet 5" doesn't mean it has to be "The Fall Of The Hero".

 

I'd call it Planet of Doom.

Sure that won't be the title but I just like it. As long as it's not Birth of the Empire, or anything with the word Empire, really, I think I'll be hapy.

A New Sith

Jedi Menace

Return of the Sith

Attack of the Jedi

Or something completly stupid like AotC. The clones were defending the republic and rescuing the Jedi. How were they attacking?

 

Ask the separatists.

Hatter: TPM and ANH are the beginnings of the two halves of the saga and they both have unspecific titles. GL is clearly following a pattern, like he does with everything else in SW. The PT mirrors the OT on all levels.
EpIII will have a title that is just as specific as AOTC, TESB and ROTJ.

 

A Knight Alone

Anakin is the knight alone facing the dark side.

Kenobi is the knight alone after the purge.

Yoda is the knight alone who knows the truth of Sifo-Dyas.

Sidious is the knight (sort of) alone who weaves the web of evil.

 

Star Wars Episode III Empire Begins, Birth of the Empire, A Creeping Fear.

 

Give up on all three. Lucas wouldn't let so much speculation point to the real one, so It can't be Rise of the Empire, wont' be Creeping Fear, that's just a joke, and Empire Begins sounds like you've taken it from Batman Begins. It's too nu-age

GL says some fan sites have already guessed the title. Maybe would should start putting some wagers on which one will win

Halleluia! The title won't be Rise of the Empire. I'm so happy, I hated that one. Might be Revenge of the Sith, that would be OK. I still like Planet of Doom.
