Guess the Episode III title!

Dahk_Mahstuh is on the right track. It will most definitely start with the word "A" or "An." It will be followed by a noun, then a verb.

The words will probably show more parralles to the OT movies though.

Menace = Hope
Clones = Jedi
??? = Empire

Now that would suggest that the word "Republic" is in the title.

"A Republic Rises Forth"
---------------------------------------------
Or you could follow this scenario:

Menace = Hope
Clones = Empire
??? = Jedi

"A Sith Rises Forth"

If you haven't noticed, "forth" is parralel to "back" - as in "The Empire Strikes Back."

The only think I'm not so clear on is the word "Rises." But I think everything else is the most likely thing at this point.

 

Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Episode II: Attack Of The Clones
Episode III: Fall To The Darkside
Episode IV: A New Hope
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi

frankly, all the ones i've read here suck, apart from the obvious Fall of the Jedi or Revenge of the Sith(which i really like).
GL won't use as obvious a tone for the title that some of you are giving it.

That's what its going to be, almost certainly. It goes along with the third of the sequels "Return of the Jedi". so the third of the prequels will be "Fall of the Jedi"

Lucas already used "THE _" and "_ of the _" so the title would be like "A NEW HOPE"

Episode 3: Dark Empire

 

I sense that teh title of episode III will be: A FALLEN JEDI...

THE LOST REPUBLIC

Why?
Because it:
1. is a short title
2. hasn`t the "of the" in it
3. foreshadows the events of the movie without giving away too much about the plot
4. can easily be translated in other languages
5. sounds cool

Lots of good titles, but too much thought is being put into this . . .

Lucas will tend to do more of a 50's B-style name.

Personally, I'd like the parallel to Return of the Jedi.

my two cents

 

Each of the titles has so far been unique. Apart from prepositions like "of", "the", and "a", Lucas has never repeated any of the major words that he has used in one title in any of the other titles.

Hence it is very unlikely that words such as "Jedi", "Empire", "Clones", etc. will be repated in Ep III's title.

So it seems like titles such as Revenge of the Sith and Fall of the Republic are the most likely. Or something that has the word "Force" in it, which is another major word that has not been used.

If I hear one more person suggest a "[blank] of the [blank]" title, I'm going to gouge my eyes out...

It's fine to dream, but there's NO WAY George will use that naming scheme after Attack of the Clones. It'll seem too unoriginal.

Also, I don't think that the title will refer to Anakin directly. The other titles have always looked at the bigger picture, rather than focusing on one character.
