It is a dark time for THE RESISTANCE. As the remaining free systems of the galaxy mourn the loss of their leader, Leia Organa, the FIRST ORDER continues to destroy all who stand in their way.

All hope is not lost, however. Old allies are reuniting at a secret location, and COMMANDER POE DAMERON is determined to lead a new alliance to victory.

Meanwhile, Rey and Finn have assembled a brave squad of freedom fighters for a daring mission into the unknown regions. Little do they know the dreaded KNIGHTS OF REN await them....

A Spark of Hope

Luke Skywalker is dead & now Leia Organa is dead & in the time since their deaths the First Order has grown stronger & now the resistance has been forced into hiding.....

The First Order's Supreme leader Kylo Ren will stop at nothing to find the remaining band of resistance fighters , especially Rey & at the peek of Kylo Ren's Dark Powers he wants to destroy once and for all the only remaining Jedi.............

 

Ha ha! When I first started reading, I thought your crawl was going to go something like:

Luke Skywalker is dead & now Leia Organa is dead & now Snoke is dead & now Phasma is dead & now Ackbar is dead & now Holdo is dead, & now- oh **** it, EVERYBODY'S DEAD. The end!

 

Leia won't die between movies. However, the movie may open with a battle or attack where Leia is killed but not shown. And she may likely be killed while on a mission to recruit allies to the cause. I believe that mission will be part of the opening crawl. Imagine the opening of AOTC but with more tragic results.

BALANCE OF THE FORCE

The FIRST ORDER reigns over the galaxy with little to oppose it. Supreme Leader Kylo Ren
tentatively holds on to power while his first in command Armitage Hux seeks
to usurp him and take the throne as the rank and file within the Order remain loyal to the General.

Yet hope is not lost. All but destroyed, the RESISTANCE rises from the ashes of failure and the spark is
rekindled once again as their distress call has been heard across the far reaches of the galaxy. Under the leadership of General Leia Organa
and Admiral Poe Dameron, they seek to reform a ragtag alliance that once brought down the mighty Galactic Empire.

Growing in strength, Rey, the LAST JEDI struggles to understand the connection
she continues to have with Kylo Ren.
Like him, she continues to fell the pull from both the Dark and the Light sides of the Force.
Armed with the ancient Jedi texts, she seeks the knowledge within in her quest
to understand what it means to find BALANCE in the Force.

Dominion of the Darkside

It is a surprisingly tranquil time. The First Order, led by Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, has brought peace and order to the galaxy at last.

The Rebel Alliance, once determined to light the spark that would see the darkness end, was disbanded unceremoniously after its last general, Leia Organa passed away in her sleep.

Meanwhile, the Knights of Ren, have grown strong and numerous under the teachings of Master Rey, who has successfully passed on the lessons from Luke Skywalker to a new generation of Force hopefuls.​

 

Episode IX

ATTACK OF THE RESET

The Galaxy is doomed, the Resistance are now once again the Rebellion and the First Order has declared a new Empire.

Basically we've just undone everything in Return of the Jedi. Except now Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa are all dead.

Now Random Rey must do something like really awesome (again) to defeat her boyfriend Kylo Ren (again). And Poe and Finn will go to the horse races or something but it's not that important....​

 

EPISODE IX: THE FIRST ORDER (play on the actual First Order and the first order of the new generation of Jedi which is formed at the end of the film by Rey)

The Rebellion is reborn! With her brother Luke Skywalker gone, General Leia Organa seeks help from distant worlds in her endless quest for peace.

As the grip of the First Order tightens, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren has assembled his secretive Knights of Ren to thwart the efforts of the dwindling rebels.

Meanwhile, Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron lead a daring mission to the planet <fill in the blank with a cool new planet name> hoping to liberate it from the clutches of the oppressive regime...

 

While I expect IX to end on a positive note, “Balance of the Force” gives too much away.

Skywalker Destiny


After decades of cold war the Galaxy is split along opposing sides. A new Empire under the command of Emperor Kylo Ren has emerged from the remnants of the first order. His first wave of dark force apprentices stand ready to unleash a new terror upon the Galaxy ending the conflict forever.

All is not lost, the Jedi Knight Rey has been training new force users in the ways of the lightsabre. Assembling a team Rey embarks on a quest into the darkest reaches of the outer rim responding to a light in the darkness that has been calling her name…..

 

Yeah, I was just rolling with the prophecy. My last two guesses were way off anyways.

 

Nice one!

 

Rise of the First Order is also pretty good but it has already risen.

Poe Dameron , the new leader of the RESISTANCE has gathered freedom fighrers with the intention to destroy the First order once and for all.

Rey the last hope for the Jedi guided by the ghost of LUKE SKYWALKER is searching the galaxy for help against the sinister KNIGHTS OF REN ...

 

Episode IX: It was a Dream

It was all a lie, Finn
awakes from a terrible dream that had some purple hair woman in a gown taking control and Kylo and Rey Force DMing each other

 

SUPREME LEADER KYLO REN strives to form the galaxy according to his vision. His KNIGHTS OF REN scour the galaxy for Force relics that will help him to consolidate his power.

THE RESISTANCE continues its brave struggle to overturn THE FIRST ORDER and its leader, its numbers having swollen as the spark of hope ignited by LUKE SKYWALKER spreads to the furthest reaches of the galaxy. In its new position of strength, the Resistance has brokered a temporary peace with the First Order to allow for vital aid to be delivered to the famine-stricken munitions planet of Pumia.

But the truce has been shattered. A bomb has ripped through a diplomatic vessel carrying GENERAL LEIA ORGANA, killing all onboard. With their leader gone, the Resistance must forge ahead without her....

A New Order​

The Skywalker twins, Luke and Leia, have became one with the Force.

Poe and Finn now lead a desperate attempt to revive the Rebellion. The evil Kylo Ren, the new Supreme Leader of the First Order, has assembled the forces of the First Order and now waits for the time to obliterate any who stand in the way.

Little does Kylo know that Rey, the Last apprentice of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, has continued her training in the ways of the Force ....​

Revolt! Countless worlds rise up against the rule of SUPREME LEADER KYLO REN, inspired by the legend of Luke Skywalker.

THE RESISTANCE has grown as thousands of systems join the cause. Burdened with managing the growing group, General Leia cedes day to day operations of the resistance to the next generation.

Flushed with new recruits, the Resistance has begun to strike back against the First Order. Even now, Rey leads a campaign to rescue force sensitives from the grip of the First Order...

 

I don't think they'll reference Leia being dead in the crawl, even if she does die between movies. It is too abrupt there.
But if they did put it in, I think it would go: "General Leia Organa has died, but the rebellion lives on..."

THE PULL OF LIGHT

Resistance lives! Luke Skywalker has inspired countless souls from all across the galaxy to join the fight. But this triumph has come at a terrible cost.

Without a teacher or guidance, young Rey is struggling with the sacred Jedi texts. She is not alone, but the journey has become harder than ever before. The Knights of Ren, led by Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, have begun a hateful crusade against Rey and all her allies. Casualties on both sides of the war have been devastating.

Now, General Leia Organa has become one with the force. It's rumored that she was assassinated by the First Order, though others claim it was the passing of her twin brother that weighed too heavily upon her heart. Like her mother before her, she is to be buried on Naboo, where the Resistance has now gathered for a funeral in her honor...

 

I'll go with Balance of the Force also. Or Rise of the Jedi. Or Resurgence of the Force or Light.

RESURGENCE OF THE LIGHT

General Leia Organa has been captured! The heroic leader was drawn into a trap set by the villainous General Hux in an attempt to usurp control of the FIRST ORDER. With his prisoner, he now commands the entire regime.

With the head of the RESISTANCE in enemy hands, General Poe Dameron now leads the brave new rebellion. With star systems joining the movement every day, rebel forces expand to take back control of the galaxy.

The Jedi Knight Rey, having completed her training, will lead a desperate attempt to rescue Leia. However, the deposed Supreme Leader, Kylo Ren, has gone on his own mission, in a race to save his mother....



*solves Leia being gone, redemption of Ben solo, Ren teaming up with Rey and maybe even possible revelation of her being his sister. And when they find Leia, she could be in meditation, help finalize his redemption using visions and voice overs and become luminous, defeating the first order.

Following a trail of Cheetos (tm) crumbs and DVD copies of "Friends" across the galaxy, Rey Nobody has located her longtime abuser on the distant attic planet of Stockholm, determined to rationalize a possible relationship with this psychopath.

As destiny awkwardly pairs the leaders of the two sides, Poe Dameron has invited General Hux to a secluded cabin to discuss terms of peace and show him a new robot he created with the latest AI innovations...

Rey finds herself on Ach-To, for reasons unknown to her friends and allies. The fate of the Jedi rests in her hands...
