Well I went to my storage place today, and discovered a whole ton of my carded figures have been stolen. If anyone here knows of places that buy out collections and whatnot, I would appreciate the contact info, so I can see if someone has been or tried selling this stuff to them.

If it looks like a crack-head break-in check everywhere they could be sold within walking distance. Put up signs in the nearest crap neighborhood offering a crazy-stupid reward for info on who broke into that address. Crack-heads will always snitch each other out. That's how I find out who breaks into the cars in my condo's parking lot (sometimes). If it's a "pro" then they're probably stashed away in the thief's storage unit 20 yards away from yours. Obviously keep your eye out on eBay. If you see stuff that's definitely yours...have someone out-of-state bid on it, and try to communicate with them to buy whatever they have at a tempting (but not suspicious) price, s'long as they can get the shipper's address...then work from there.

Either way it totally sucks. Dunno if you rent or own, but your home-owner's policy should cover off-site storage of stuff. Renter's policy may be a bit more sketchy. Plus there's your deductible, obviously it's not worth paying $1000 to recover $700 worth of rubber Chewbacca's.

You might check at Quake. They buy just about any star wars stuff there.

My first thought was chicken's butt, but after reading this, it is not chicken's butt scenario. I hope your storage place has some insurance and that your homeowners or renters covers part of this. Of course money is one thing, the time to collect the figures is a whole different thing. I feel for your loss and violation.

I have sporadic times on the internet between naps. If you send me a list of a few unique items, I can search eBay for you.

    very unhappy to hear this.

Very little I can add to the very good advice above.

I can only think, that if it looks like only the best
    stuff was taken,

Then find a new storage place and keep it a secret, as
you have been targeted by a theif who knows Star Wars,
and since they know where your stuff is they will
    be motivated to return.

I say this as someone who has been robbed,
and the easy to pick up items
left out in plain sight...... worth (well, a lot!)
were left while other easily replaceable stuff was taken

Installed best alarm system I could find.

    Theif never caught!

Once again, very unhappy to hear this.

That Sux your Stuff got stolen, you're better off getting a new Storage Place, cause whoever got it, knew what is was ans where it was!! I have thousands of dollars of Star War, GIJOE, and Transformers at home, they are well protected with motion detectors all over!!

Once again, very sorry to hear of this, but as I was
    re-reading this.

I was wondering if there is any update on this,
like, we know carded action figures were stolen,
but anything, in particular that might stand out
as a very rare pc, that might possible be used
to trace back to a source. Feel free to pm me on this

I am always on ebay, and other places.
