also interesting she was the main character in JJ's short lived show Undercovers, so it seems like both JJ and Johnson already know her.

Question is, which character needs good chemistry with Finn?

 

Let's not forget that it seems the role Gugu Mbatha-Raw landed was for someone in their early thirties. Maybe too old for a romance with the early twenties Finn?

 

Isaac's a hilarious dude. Can't wait to see him as Poe.

Mbatha-Raw has a great energy as well.

Question: Is Nina Gold also casting director for VIII? If so, none of this great casting is surprising.

 

I'm just waiting to see which live action remake Disney movie Ridley will get the lead for.

 

I'm still disappointed she's not playing Belle in Beauty and the Beast. I think she would have been a far more inspired and original choice for the character than Emma Watson (though she's definitely passionate and gifted).

 

I hope they pair them up in the movie.

 

She is incredibly beautiful. I surely hope she is a humaniod character, and not be CGI, because it would be a hell of a waste.

I think Finn's love interest or his sister or both.

 

You need romance in a movie, and in this case Finn needs a love interest because Rey won't really have one. Rey is basically the new Luke, and Disney/Lucasfilm want to show the world a strong independent woman in a lead role. They are basically gender-swapping stuff from the OT.

Gugu will do fine, though I was hoping for Olivia Cooke.

 

When I first saw the thread title I assumed someone was wondering if a character named Gugu Mbatha-Raw from the new comics/books would appear in Ep VII or sth.

 

Strong independent and asexual right?
