Guinness - product placement

The beer glass on the above banner seems wrong to me.
a ) It is a blatant advertisement.
What's next, Anakin sporting Adidas?
b ) It is not really in the spirit of Star Wars to promote drinking, drugs or other unhealthy activities.

To whomever approved the St. Patrick's Day "reinforcing o' the stereotypes banner" (waves hand) I think you need to go home and re-think your direction in life.

Any thoughts?

This banner was the Official Irish FF banner made by the Irish. Unfortunately, the Chapter didn't work out and the board got deleted.

Although it does have the product placement, I personally feel that this banner is a great homage to the Irish since they actually made it.

There is a thread here in JC Coms regarding the banner. Your post may be more suited to that thread

THere is a thread for this banner in the JC communications.

And Charis, it isn't the Irish banner, it was originally a St. Paddy's banner, but the Irish kept it all year round.
