Phx Habitat for Humanity

Hi all,

Just tossing up an idea here I got on the trip back home from Flagstaff.

On a rest stop, Habitat For Humaity had a public info display. This got me thinking. (yeah I know it's scary )

The folks in PFF have ALOT of skills that this organization could use. We build props, costumes, Lightsabers, Blasters, and now I can add Deathstar walls to the list.

What if we where all to donate one day this year to this really noble cause. I'm thinking a single day, or maybe even a once a year thing here.

I know how to hold a hammer, turn a bolt, twist a screwdriver almost as good as any Astromech Driod. I'm sure I would feel really good to know that my skills helped another less fortunate than I.

What time of the year, month, week, is good for you all? I'm thinking the Fall on a weekend. All we need to do is give up 1/365 days in the coming year. Giving only time and labor.

I went to their website Habitataz.org tonight and requested volunteer info. I don't have a spacific contact (yet). I'll fill everyone in as more info and decisions come about.

It looks as though thay have many ways for people to help. Even better. We have ALOT of talent here. I know we can do alot of good. I'm so wanting to do this.

I did some work with SRP and HFH it feels really good at the end of the day...
