(Sorry NMP, the interweb is not a truth telling machine - now you're lacking in syllables. To be accurate, you'll have to count em yourself. :p Sorry, I'm being pedantic, but I loves me some accuracy plz thx.)

(And yes you're completely right - I meant Captain Planet, not Power Rangers xO Ah well.)

NMP, here are the basics, as told to me by Basho himself(in a dream of course;))...
    - 3 Lines
    - 17 Syllables
    - Line 1 has 5 syllables
    - Line 2 has 7 syllables
    - Line 3 has 5 syllables
    - Rhyme not necessary

    Consumes so much time
    It's okay as an escape
    Don't forget real life.

ok sure look I understand how the thing works, what we are suffering here is a difference of interpretation. I don't seem to count the same amount of sylables as everyone else (blame the other languages in my head if you must).

I tryed checking my sylables in the dictionary, but couldn't understand how to get the sylables out of the pronunciation key, tryed using the internet, but that was wrong too.

I bow out of this game, due to an interface error.

    My little poems
    are poiniant and sweet
    haiku they are not
    the specifications they dont meet.

actually, the traditional form of haiky is two short lines followed by a third short line that is something obscure. eg:

    spring brings snakes
    and dragonflies on rocks
    hope is green and yellow

    Cheers, the pedant
