I've just recieved an email from Empire Theatres saying that all tickets for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy Tuesday will only be sold, in person, at the participating theatre's box office.

Now, I can't make it to Halifax to buy those tickets, a number of reasons prevent me from doing so.

I'm asking ANY HALIFAX RESIDENT WHO WAS PLANNING TO PURCHASE LOTR TRILOGY TUESDAY TICKETS, ON SAT. NOV 15...
I need two tickets. One for me, one for my little brother. I have a job, I have more than I need to buy them.
I've been around these boards for a while. I don't think I've done anything terribly suspicious.

Now, I know the tickets are $50 each, and $100 is a lot to spend for stranger. But I just have to attend this event. I know the tickets will sell out within the day.

I don't really know if I'd pay scalper's prices for these tickets... I'd just see it as doing fellow fans a big, big favour.
    Anyone?
I'd be willing to discuss this via PMs.

Well, turns out I had a friend in Halifax who was willing to get the tickets for me... unfortunately, a cab trip, one-way, from her house to Bayers Lake would cost approx. $30.

    Damn those cabbies!
