My thoughts exactly.
Well, since the Darth Kimball thread is gone forever, this is kind of pointless.
If you would hang around here, you could help with this little endeavor.
How did I miss this whole thing. What exactly happened?
Is that a challenge!?
gone forever? is there another more famous thread that i've never seen?
Absolutely! How long is your memory?
YES! Nice work. My 'gone forever' post was really just a lazy way of having someone else search for it. I'm getting old in my .. old .. age. Yeah.
That's absolutely, positively, my favorite thread ever on these boards.
i actually linked to that thread in the first post of this one. pay attention!
Why bother with all of this--it has already been done.
If you click on my profile, and then go to "Latest Posts" you will find your so-called hall of fame.
Though, I wouldn't be opposed to putting all of those comments into a special forum of their own. It might be a worthy cause to support.
Unfortunately, Latest Posts does not make it convenient in terms of finding them easily.
How goes it?
thanks for asking. we hit a bit of a roadblock when dingo was forced to step down due to darth real life. but knightwriter has stepped up to take his place and we're rapidly building momentum again. hopefully we'll have something tangible to show soon.
If this has already been asked, let me know, but will the Wisegate threads be included in this HOF?
perhaps? it's hard to say, but the jc will definitely have a chance to nominate them if anyone chooses to. then they'll be taken into consideration. the whole process will be very democratic, but those threads definitely have a place in jc history.
It isn't a HOF. It's the Hall of Fame Forum. The HOFF.
Yeah, these guys have started rolling along pretty good.

MY EYES! MY EYES!
From the mid-July MSU:
The Hall of Fame forum project has currently been put on hold. The idea behind this project was to examine old threads from forums and preserve and display them in this new forum. We passed the early stages and discussed parameters for what qualifies as a Hall of Fame thread, however the process stuttered so it was put on hold. All discussion has been saved so that if and when this project resumes again, we can start from where we left off.
Yeah, while the project is on hold right now, a good beginning was achieved, so when we are able to pick up discussion, we can hopefully move along fairly quickly.
Personally, I hope we are able to have another go at this before summer is over.
I like the ideas, and hope it does come up again for discussion.
With the yearly reunions set in place, this project may get some wind back in its sails. It really couldn't leave port without more oldbies around to appreciate it anyways.
