OMG, I had forgotten about the wrapping-on-the-pencil thing till you mentioned it! Cut, cut, cut... wrap, glue, stick, wrap, glue, stick, wrap, glue, stick, wrap, glue, stick, wrap, glue, stick, wrap, glue, stick... Yeah. I remember it was amazing how fast time seemed to go by while doing that. All of a sudden you look up and a few hours have passed, and you have this one little bit done.

Hey, so it sounds like you guys are using actual mylar for the silver? How's that compared to tissue paper?

Well, you have to use Hot Glue instead of Elmer's, but once that was figured out, it seems to be working okay... It is a little harder on the fingers though in the twisting part :p /checks little finger to see if feeling has returned... not yet/

We are sorting through age appropriate art to use for prizes at home so I should have that list monday or tuesday, Mile Hi Con is eating into some time. So that is where the Opus donation's stand...

    BUMP.

I have decided...after wearing the Shortcake outfit forever on Saturday night. I am going to do two costumes at the WOTRs.

I think an old school Star Trek costume is always fun...and honestly, it is more comfortable.

Understood. I don't think it would be a problem.

I like Miss Shortcake...but it would be nice to change it out. My SG costume needs new boots. I can think of some other options between now and then if needed.

Heya not sure I'm able to go to this, with lack of cash, and the fact my car is messed up which I drive only when I have to...(like I will for the DVD release, unless someone cares to pick me up on their way).

But I did run across this cool new audiocast thing you can download, and burn to a disc, to play at the RMFF table!

If you have Star Wars hyperspace, there is an 18 minute halloween audio piece, download!

It plays like the emperors theme in the background, star wars sound effects, jawa noises, tusken yells, droids bleeps, gamorrean squeels.. vader breathing, bantha snorts, etc...

It also has a windy-type-thing...and other random spooky sounds, faint screams, ghost noises, and general Halloween sounds.

Grievous says a few things at intervuls. Like:
    "Trick or Treat Ha-Ha-Ha <coughing fit>"
"Ah..Trick or Treaters, I will take care of them myself. Time to abandon your treats!" <snap-hiss>
"Aren't you a little old to be Trick or Treating?"
"Forget the ghosts, beware of me!"
"Another Trick or Treater to add to my collection Ha-Ha-Ha" <R2-D2 distraction noises>
"<Cough-Cough> You fool! A real villian has no use for candy."

    Palpatine says:
"When my new apprentice Darth Vader arrives, he will...take care of you."

    Nute Gunray says:
"Welcome Lord Vader, we've been expecting you <snap-hiss-swing-swing> No, noooooo" <Vader then continues to 'bring peace to the galaxy' with various combat noises, yells, then the saber closes down>.

    Ending:
Obi-Wan: "Only a Sith deals in absolutes, I will do what I must".
Anakin: "You will try.." <lightsabers ingnite, and the battle of heroes plays while they carry out a really short lightsaber battle.. the music changes>
Yoda: "At an end your rein is, and not short enough it was.."
Sidious: "Your arrogance blinds you Master Yoda, now will experience the full power of the darkside <Force Lightning explodes, knocks yoda to the floor, and Sidious laughs>.

Its kinda cool, and might add a little something to the evening. :)

I'll have to leave early at about 12:30 since I'm going to a costume contest for my dogs at Petco that afternoon.

I'll download and make a CD of the Halloween audiocast. Thanks for the tip, Jada.
