OMG, I had forgotten about the wrapping-on-the-pencil thing till you mentioned it! Cut, cut, cut... wrap, glue, stick, wrap, glue, stick, wrap, glue, stick, wrap, glue, stick, wrap, glue, stick, wrap, glue, stick... Yeah. I remember it was amazing how fast time seemed to go by while doing that. All of a sudden you look up and a few hours have passed, and you have this one little bit done.
Hey, so it sounds like you guys are using actual mylar for the silver? How's that compared to tissue paper?
Well, you have to use Hot Glue instead of Elmer's, but once that was figured out, it seems to be working okay... It is a little harder on the fingers though in the twisting part /checks little finger to see if feeling has returned... not yet/
We are sorting through age appropriate art to use for prizes at home so I should have that list monday or tuesday, Mile Hi Con is eating into some time. So that is where the Opus donation's stand...
Feeling has returned to the finger.
Final Prep Meeting Today.
Picking up Posters today.
Schedule finalized today.
Losing mind has commenced...
Anyone on the begging circuit, please report progress to me in a PM... Trying to figure out what we have to put together on the 29th.
I have decided...after wearing the Shortcake outfit forever on Saturday night. I am going to do two costumes at the WOTRs.
I think an old school Star Trek costume is always fun...and honestly, it is more comfortable.
Just remember the PG rule
Understood. I don't think it would be a problem.
I like Miss Shortcake...but it would be nice to change it out. My SG costume needs new boots. I can think of some other options between now and then if needed.
actually the more I think about it. I would rather not have to deal with the ST dress. I will figure something out...thanks!

Heya not sure I'm able to go to this, with lack of cash, and the fact my car is messed up which I drive only when I have to...(like I will for the DVD release, unless someone cares to pick me up on their way).
But I did run across this cool new audiocast thing you can download, and burn to a disc, to play at the RMFF table!
If you have Star Wars hyperspace, there is an 18 minute halloween audio piece, download!
It plays like the emperors theme in the background, star wars sound effects, jawa noises, tusken yells, droids bleeps, gamorrean squeels.. vader breathing, bantha snorts, etc...
It also has a windy-type-thing...and other random spooky sounds, faint screams, ghost noises, and general Halloween sounds.
Grievous says a few things at intervuls. Like:
"Trick or Treat Ha-Ha-Ha <coughing fit>"
"Ah..Trick or Treaters, I will take care of them myself. Time to abandon your treats!" <snap-hiss>
"Aren't you a little old to be Trick or Treating?"
"Forget the ghosts, beware of me!"
"Another Trick or Treater to add to my collection Ha-Ha-Ha" <R2-D2 distraction noises>
"<Cough-Cough> You fool! A real villian has no use for candy."
"When my new apprentice Darth Vader arrives, he will...take care of you."
Nute Gunray says:
"Welcome Lord Vader, we've been expecting you <snap-hiss-swing-swing> No, noooooo" <Vader then continues to 'bring peace to the galaxy' with various combat noises, yells, then the saber closes down>.
Obi-Wan: "Only a Sith deals in absolutes, I will do what I must".
Anakin: "You will try.." <lightsabers ingnite, and the battle of heroes plays while they carry out a really short lightsaber battle.. the music changes>
Yoda: "At an end your rein is, and not short enough it was.."
Sidious: "Your arrogance blinds you Master Yoda, now will experience the full power of the darkside <Force Lightning explodes, knocks yoda to the floor, and Sidious laughs>.
Its kinda cool, and might add a little something to the evening.
Ok, costume wise I was planning on wearing my Star Trek costume, but I do have some historical ones I can wear too.
And Zoo, is there anything I need to bring up Friday??
Costume? Colored Duct Tape maybe?
I'll have to leave early at about 12:30 since I'm going to a costume contest for my dogs at Petco that afternoon.
I'll download and make a CD of the Halloween audiocast. Thanks for the tip, Jada.
Colored duct tape I will bring!
If you do that JT, could I please have a copy cause I am tech challenged!
me too. I have hyperspace and I can listen to it, but I cant burn it to disc.
I cant burn anything to disc. I think my computer is screwed up.
....I wish I knew how to burn things to disc......
Blueberry Muffin is up for loan if anyone wants to wear it on Sunday. I'll be in a different costume.
Oh, just the costume? I was about to say...I'd borrow...
Finally confirmed -- we will not be there for sures. Saturday I think I'll be at a LANparty, and we've got plans much closer to home for Sunday and Monday.
We will be there and in force, so to speak. But I myself will be there as that masked bandit all dressed in black known as ZORRO!!! My wife will be the ever evil and lovely....Medusa!! Yes all within the PG guidelines. Cool?? Cool!! So we will see ya all there.
Took letter and tax form to e-planet. You can mark that off.
I GOT out of there without buying anything either.
Here's a cool thing for the kids... DIY Star Wars paper masks!
