Speaking of modeling for art, I was just reading an interview of Mark Brooks, the artist for the Han Solo mini-series comic, and he said that he looked at the Indiana Jones films as much as the Star Wars OT to get HF's facial expressions right. Mark said that HF used a wider range of expressions in the Indy movies. I just thought that was interesting. It's probably something most of us wouldn't pick up upon unless we were trying to draw Han Solo a few hundred times like Mark is for the series.

BTW, Mark is doing an excellent job capturing HF's likeness.

 

You bet HF used more facial expressions in the Indy series. Ever see the " We are going to die! " gif?

I have the one of the embrace set as wallpaper on my phone.

 

The artist is very good. I swear they almost look like pictures. The one of the embrace is my favorite.

Some people just can't understand Carrie's sense of humour. She's way too smart.

 

It's their loss if they don't get it the way it was intended. I love Carrie's wit, it's in a league of its own. I never get bored of her talking at those things. I could sit and listen all day. Her panels are never long enough!

So it must be canon then. Han and Leia broke up because of Han's unwillingness or inability to take Leia into hyperspace any longer.

Where's that hyperspace/cockpit sex scene from the old EU when you need it? This would be a perfect time and place for it.

 

Which scene is that Ginger? Oh hang about, it's from the NJO, isn't it? I'm a little rusty on bits of that because I hated the estrangement plot and Anakin dying, so I haven't read it multiple times.

We know Carrie is just being typical hilarious Carrie in that interview, so her words aren't to be taken at face value, but if we WERE to believe they broke up for that very reason, Bloodline already contradicts it. Seems like they still enjoyed those "trips" into hyperspace after 20 plus years of marriage. Look at that scene where they joke about retiring and flying around the galaxy together and what er.. "fun" they will get up to. And it's obvious what they've just done before the chapter which opens with them in bed together.

Lol. There are no problems in that area But any H/L shipper will tell you that, right?

 

Now I know why Ben turned dark! Well you know how pregnant women shouldn't fly on airplanes? Pregnant women shouldn't fly in hyperspace!

 

I wish I could remember which book. I'm pretty sure it was from the NJO, and I wasn't much of a fan of that series either. But it said something about when the MF came out of hyperspace, Leia was straddling Han in the pilot seat and he was in ecstasy. It was pretty racy for a SW book. I thought it might be in Rebel Dream but I can't find it there offhand.

And I agree, they don't appear to have any trouble hyperspacing in the new EU either.
