I didn't find the excerpt I'm looking for. Someone talked about it at the Han and Leia Fanfiction Writer's blog back in 2011, but didn't post the excerpt or know which book it came from. So at least I'm not totally imagining it. I don't think.

We just happened to visit a bookstore after work yesterday and I thumbed through Destiny's Way thinking it might be in there. I thought I was on the right track when near the beginning of the book Leia was thinking about going into hyperspace with Han literally and figuratively. They eventually made it there but not how I am remembering that excerpt so I don't think that's it.



Later, after they dropped off their guest they go into hyperspace literally. Han then starts to make a meal but remembers that they wanted to go into hyperspace figuratively.

 

I absolutely referenced this episode on the Thrawncast last night- as an example of how they never seem to be able to be alone together throughout Legends. Here's me crossing my fingers that we get some good juicy stuff via the new canon. So far, Bloodline and Life Debt have me optimistic.

 

ROTFL, yeah apparently there was a bunch of celebrating by the Han/Leia haters that this "confirms" that Han was a terrible husband and father. They know that everything that comes out of Carrie's mouth is a joke right? If we take what she says as canon, Episode VIII should have Leia going to a shopping planet with a gf and having an affair with R2.

Some of them were harassing Pablo on twitter and saying that he contradicted Carrie "confirming" that Han and Leia neglected Ben: https://twitter.com/P_Applejack/status/777998127735406593 The mental gymnastics of some people to frame Han and Leia as bad parents that they will take Carrie Fisher's interview as canon, but not Pablo's.

Ginger, the hyperspace sex scene is in Millennium Falcon, by James Luceno. It says that they sealed up the cockpit and spent the entire trip back in each other's arms and when Han came out of hyperspace he was "delirious". I think we can guess what was going on there

In Bloodline they also seem to enjoy their hyperspace trips

 

Lol, I was going to mention about Carrie's obsession with that shopping planet, she mentions it in quite a few interviews. But that's just Carrie being the Carrie that we love. I never take her comments seriously.

It's kind of ironic that these people who have been SW fans for ooh, all of two minutes are telling us what's canon. I've been a SW fan for 35 years and no one is going to convince me that those characters deserve to be vilified.
