ST Han cloned before he was killed?

Hey guys, so this occurred to me just now, what if say Han were cloned before he died at the hands of his son? There are rumors that Harrison Ford is coming back for Episode VII in either a flashback or some other theories out there. What if this is one of them? What do you think of Han Solo returning as a clone?

 

I don't expect this thread to survive the mods, but it is a fun image. People like Han, so lets make an army of 'em.

No clone of Han Solo would be as cool as Han was. He is unique, therefore, any clone of him would be a pale, soulless copy. Personally, I'd hate it.

 

No. Just, no. It would cheapen not only Han's death, but also who he was.

 

This isn't a Marvel movie... close but nope.

 

I will personally burn my entire Star Wars collection if Han comes back as a clone in Episode 8.

I will disown the official Disney EU if one of their EU approved stroylines includes a cloned Han.

Lastly, I will send angry letters to Disney

Are those still canon?

There was even an evil Luke (Luuke) in the old EU.

People really forgot how terrible the old EU is. Authors had maximum incentive to retread old plotlines, literally line up their story as close to ROTJ as possible so the big 3 are not too old to do anything, and cloning **** left and right because it's easier to resuse existing characters.

 

how do people think cloning works? if clone han showed up he would just be some guy that looked like han solo. he wouldn't be han. he also wouldn't be the same age.

 

Even when the EU did exist I never ever considered dark empire canon. The concept is stupid in that it make death irrelevant which denies SW a huge amount of drama because if they can comeback as a clone death the most dramatic occurrence in a story becomes meaningless.

And if that happens, I'll get the Millennium Falcon to spread her wings from the 20th floor of the condo that I live in...

 

Star Wars is not Dragon Ball. Han is dead clean dead unless you don't to consider the ST cannon.

 

I'm pretty sure being in the middle of an imploding planet turns you into a God or something. It'd work in the Marvel Universe anyway.
