I like how Leia's dress isn't drawn action hero comic book tight. But Han's pants look nice and snug! Gotta get the small details right!

 

This mini has a really good chance to top Lando as the best SW Marvel comic yet. And considering the awesomeness that was the Lando mini series, that is no easy feat. The art is so good, it's really no surprise that George decided to purchase the originals.

You thought the first two issues were really good? Well, the third is even better The dialogue for Han is spot on, as are the depictions of Harisson Fords' facial expressions. It's just impossible not to hear Ford's voice when you read it. I am really curious about Loo Re Ano, I have a feeling that she'll died by the end of the series, but not without an interesting reveal. I love, love, love the glowing orbs. I am really for alien looking aliens, and to be honest, a glowing, levitating, sentient orb is a pretty neat concept if you ask me.

Oh, and I am so happy that we get FREAKIN' TOGORIANS back in canon! I hope they get this awesome looking felid in the Han Solo stand alone film! Because big cats, that's why.

Fantastic art, and if anything, the comic made me go back and re-read the first two as I needed a refresher on who is who and why the Empire got involved in the first place, but I guess that wasn't really explained, I guess they were just being jerks just to be jerks. During the "hour" page it says someone drops out, but I couldn't find the name in the first two issues, so I guess it was a nobody.

According to Bot aka Squirt, there are multiple spies or leaks and Admiral Airen looks more and more guilty and supposedly only he and Leia know of the plan and obviously Leia isn't the bad guy.

Color me the only one thus far who didn't get why the final page was "cool" as I didn't know what it was in reference too, but regardless, I very much look forward to the next issue in.... October.

Why was General Airen Cracken referred to as "Admiral Airen" in this issue? Not only was he called a different rank, but he was also called by his first name rather than his last.

 

True that. I had not noticed that he was referred to as an admiral.

 

#3 was the best issue so far, the depiction of the debris field gauntlet was beautiful and getting details about the informant network was cool.

 

So let's take a guess:

A) Don't think so, 'cause Cathar usually are more humanlike than that;

Absolutely love this series. Epic and fun, with great art and character work. Would make a fun movie.

 

I've read this issue three times and I'm completely flummoxed by the Duros' explanation on the state of the murder of the informants and their moles and.........seriously what the hell is he on about. It's just all so convoluted. When he got to the point when he said "the next passenger may be a murderer", I was like ok don't get the logic but ok.

TBH this was my first impression upon seeing it, so vindication is sweet.

 

It just gets better Another stellar issue!

 

Great book, although I will say it's a bit wordier than usual but that's only because I want to appreciate the pretty-pretty art. However, they gave us some amazing splash pages of the Falcon race so that makes up for it. Also I love how Han can CLEARLY just be disqualified and still finish the mission but he doesn't want to loose the race at all, very Han, very awesome.
