So says Entertainment Weekly: "A young Han Solo saga, focusing on the wisecracking smuggler’s origin story, and a bounty hunter adventure with Boba Fett at the center of a rogue’s gallery of galactic scum." I sense (another) disturbance in the canon...
TBH leaving aside the whole screws with the EU which it will do, I'm not sure I want to see a 15 year old Han running around. While having him older would not work as it would be an obvious comparison to Ford which considering how iconic it is will never work.
worse even... what if 15 year old Han Solo looks different than 15 year old Indiana Jones, which we know from a certain cool Young Indy series oh my...
Am I the only one that actually hopes these will just be cartoon movies similar to the ones made by Marvel, DC and Dark Horse movies and not Life Action? And of course one should hope they go for respecting canon.
I'd love to see a young Han Solo series. Who wouldn't? And yeah. It'll be new canon. The whole EU is in the infinities pile. Let's face it.
Sadly I think it was always going to be this way, Disney have 4 billion to make back. They don't care about what's gone before. Maybe the Thrawn trilogy might get a nod or 2 or one or 2 other books, but that's only cause the writers may have read them otherwise I don't think that's the case for the rest of the EU.
well to be creative... I want Han Solo not to be raised by Chewie as George originally planned... I want to see Shrike, Han as orphan boy.. like in those old tales of orphan thief groups in industrial britain.. make him Oliver Twist or like the lost boys and Hook in SyFy's awesome Neverland miniseries! that would rock... Shrike as Hook played by same actor as in Neverland please! I mean, kidsmovie with kidhan could rock. teenage han less. and how are they going to make a Han movie without Chewie or the Falcon in it if it is supposed to be young Han anyway? Han movie screams for chewie and falcon... but then it just is an adventure of them, not a backstory of his youth movie. and yeah I am saying it: LANDO MOVIE anyone? Billy Dee we need you!
He appears to be... walking an invisible bridge over some kind of... fish? Or is it a dolphin, maybe? Honestly, I'm not quite sure what you're getting at, here, Zor. (And what's a fish/dolphin doing hovering over a gigantic blue moustache, anyway!?)
Not yet, @Zorrixor, wait for the movies about the Bounty Hunter on Ord Mantell, Boba Fett surviving the sarlacc and the Rebellion's first victory and the capture of the DS plans... I'm still optimistic!
Well. Even if they kill the HST, there is no way that they'll attack Daley. Kasdan (if he's writing this one) has gotta respect Daley. Maybe we'll get a movie version of Daley. Maybe we'll finally see VSDs on screen. (think happy thoughts!)
I can picture the story now... How Lil' Hanny gets expelled from Jedi School for not playing by the rules, which was the origins of his denial of their existence just two decades later, and established how Han Solo was secretly also a Force user all along, as will be revealed when he pulls out his hidden lightsaber in Episode 8 to save Luke's life from Darth Chewbacca the Reborn.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Han Solo Trilogy is awesome. This will obviously negate it. But lucky for me, the EU will be my real Star Wars story. All these new movies will be infinities in my eyes.
