29 years ago today on May 25th, 1977, was the release of a movie that made sci-fi geeks out of many a person, young and old alike.

What was your favorite Star Wars moment? We are talking that first movie only here, originally called just "Star Wars" but known as "A New Hope" now that the saga is complete.

I think one of my favorites was the Cantina scene

Now I will have that crazy intergalactic jazz music playing in my head all day!

I also love the scene where Leia says ?Governor Tarkin. I thought I smelled your foul stench when I was brought on board?
    That chick had balls

And any scene with R2-D2 in it, of course

But who could forget the first time we laid eyes on Darth Vader when he glided through the hole blasted by the stormtroopers, surrounded by a smoky haze, his black cape swirling around him as that music played in the background.

I loved when Vader stepped through that door too! I still get goosebumps!
How about when Obi Wan first sees R2's message. Is that a moment of recognition on his face or is it just me? :p
I also loved 'get into the garbage shoot flyboy!' ... 'I don't care what you smell you big furry oaf!'
It is so hard to pick one thing because the whole thing was so great and so unlike anything I had ever seen before.
Here's hoping next year on the 30th we'll all be at C4 to celebrate!:D

My first memory connected with Star Wars was seeing it when I was just 3 1/2. I got to see it in San Francisco when it first opened up. Can you tell I feel dated. ;)
My next memory was getting my very first Star Wars figure from my mom...A Stormtrooper without a gun (some thieving kid took it). :)

There are so many quotes from the movie, but I think my favorites lines are the tension ones between Han and Leia.

Here are some that I just have to jot down...
    "Move along"
    "Look sir, droids"
"I find your lack of faith disturbing"
"I don't know who you are or where you came from"
