I had the honor of meeting him last year, and I have to say he is one of the nicest stars I have ever met.

 

LOL! Oh god... Bridge, I remember the look on your face. You looked like a 2 year old that was just told Christmas came early.

 

That's pretty accurate, Rachel.
It was as much a surprise for me as it was for Emmie.

 

Oh yeah... I forget that only a small few of us knew!

It was still great seeing everyone's responses!

And Mark really WAS a doll.

He was extremely nice the once I met him as well. And it was a complete thrill! Yay, childhood hero in the flesh!

Yeah, that was great seeing him again. If I knew he was coming, I would have brought the picture he took of Jos and My butts during a convention right after original SW came out. LOL

Mark was a surprise guest for Emmie's Make-A-Wish project we did last December.

 

Last December! Sheesh, the way you folks were talking, I thought you'd seen him last week or so! I saw him around that time of year myself, last year.

It's amazing how clear that day is in my mind, yet I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday. I guess those really really really good moments stay with you forever. Locked away until the moment you need them. And that memory is not just because of Mark..but because of the good friends I made and the joy I got doing that event.

 

I never know what to say to those folks. Beyond, "Hey, love your work" conversation kind of dries up, probably because compared to what they have done, what have I to offer to keep the conversation going?

::shrugs::

I also tend to respect their privacy and if I see someone in public, I just leave them alone.

 

Yeah, I am mostly the same. Unless something comes up in a brief exchange of dialogue that shows there is an interest in common, I try to leave people alone, or keep the contact brief, polite, and with good boundaries. I have no desire to be perceived as a crazy fan!

But seriously, it's true. That was the first day I ever met Kim or Bridget, and now look at us. I got a sister AND a mommy/daddy all in one day!
