Canada Happy Canada Day!

Somehow, the lackage of Canada Day thread in Canada general just didn't seem right to me.

Boy, I'm glad I had temporary changie colours for this.

YAY ITS CANADA DAY. (hey it rymes)
go outside, get some tim hortons (down with Krispy Kream [sp?]) listen to canadian artists, watch AOTC (hayden. incidentally he was just voted the 8th hottest canadian by The Province, one of vancouver's biggest papers), play some hockey, call the city and complain about no fireworks!!! (can you believe these people? canada place in vancouver holds the biggest party after ottawa and there's no fireworks!!), drink some blue, molson, okanagan spring, call up you american friends and tell them how great canada is (paul martin not included), wear your I AM CANADIAN shirt, buy something at roots. in short BE CANADIAN!!!

I had a pretty miserable Canada Day, so I am going to make it up by having a great long weekend

I love that song, Derisa!

I actually worked all Canada Day, but we got to watch the fireworks from the parking lot.

 

We had a really nice picnic in the park, sitting under the shade of a broad oak while we watched a memorial softball game, and the kids blew soap bubbles and played in the sand in the playground.

Then came home and had BBQ steaks and corn on the cob for dinner. We had red and white decorated cake, red and white candies in dishes, dried red cranberries and white yoghurt-dipped raisins (anyone spotting a theme yet?)

It was a good day.
