Buff, NY Happy Halloween!!!

    Hope everyone is enjoying the one day we can be someone else (for a day).

    Did anyone dress up for office parties today? Will anyone be dressing up tonight with their kids for Trick-or-Treating or when handing out treats to the younglings?

    To answer those questions: yes, I did dress up today (my Qui-Gon outfit). I will dress up when handing out treats, but probably not when I take my Padawan out tonight.

    Whenever I teach on Halloween I war a pair of slightly gory latex bolts on the sides of my neck. It takes students a few minutes to notice them--once they do, I invariably hear a chorus of "ewww"'s and "that's disgusting." I also give my statistics students Halloween inspired stats problems and throw out candy for correct answers.

    I will wear a witch's hat to hand out candy.

    I worked straight through Halloween moving our office, basically alone. Started at 8:30 am and finished about 1 am................................

    Now I have to go organize the 'new' office....
