I didn't go to any organized fireworks tonight, but there was quite a showing of them in my neighborhood. It is amazing how they light up the night sky. I was immediately reminded of the line in our national anthem..."and the rockets red glare..."

I stood and thought about our forefathers, our country, and the people who have fought and died for it and for our way of life (think of all the blessings you have). I'm really proud to be an American. We don't always agree with our government, that is part of what makes this country great, but there should always be a level of respect there. Sure, there is uncertainty in this crazy world and in this country, but all other countries out there are competing for SECOND PLACE!!

I spent most of my 4th at work. I made nothing on opening day. I took 6 pages of pictures, but they were all give aways... So I'm still broke. Good thing is, the fireworks downtown were free so I went to see those. Then I discovered where all my customers were! They had been drinking or down at the river all day...

Oh well. Happy Independence day!
