To SA Fan Force members and all our friends,

I hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving with lots of food, fun and family!

I know I am very thankful for all the great friends that have come my way through Star Wars fandom. We have lots of fun things coming up in the next couple of months, and I hope all of you are able to be a part of it.

Have a happy holiday and enjoy your leftovers!
    Lisa

Hope everyone had a great holiday.

I spent my time in the movies for the past three days. Here are my holiday recommendations:

    THE PRESTIGE
    THE FOUNTAIN
    MARIE ANTOINETTE
    THE DEPARTED
    CASINO ROYALE

I was indeferrent to STRANGER THAN FICTION and walked out of BORAT.

Those are my picks for this holiday season.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I did! Stomach full and mind lulled into complete relaxation. I'm going to see Casino Royale right now so thanks for the recommendation Brent. I have seen Borat also and I would have walked out too if it were not for my friend's who I was with. He drove and I didn't want to walk home. Hehehe. I did see like 10 people walk out of the movie though. THE SINGLE ABSOLUTE WORST THING THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN, and I've seen the Holiday Special!!! Gave me a headache.

Well, hope everyone had a safe holiday. I'm gearing up for the next holiday by putting lights out on the trees. Ouch.

By the way, an old friend warned me on Saturday NOT to show the sage in chronological order. He showed his 12 yr. old the movies this last summer. He said that more than anythng she was puzzled by the lack of technological flare of the OT compared to the prequels. And again, as we have all discussed, the lack of emotional punch when Vader reveals himself to Luke.

I've been playing around with the order in which to show the movies to Tatum, and I think this works:

    4, 1, 2, 5, 3, 6

    Any thoughts?

Old School first. Show her 4,5,6. Those always capture their attention. Then show her 1,2,3 if she shows continued interest. Everyone should watch them the way we did my friend.

I agree with Mars wholeheartedly, start with the OT man, she needs to experience it the way we all did.

You should definitely go for Old School first.

Thanks for the advice. And it makes episode 3 that more powerful don't you think?

For sure!! Let her see Darth Vader as a scourge and evil bastard that tortures and maims his own children. Then she sees his resurrection to the light in ROTJ. Then show her ROTS. It will be all the more tragic.
