    That's the nature of the beast. There are plenty of folks out there who will scramble to collect all 6.

    Nothing wrong with that, of course. To each their own!

    Someone got their hands on the Look and Find book early and they posted scans of some of the pages online. While it contains new details, it also lines up with even more stuff that MSW reported awhile ago. Here is the MSW article on it:

    I understand that some of the old cast has to die.
    But in the first film? And Han Solo? A main (and beloved) character?
    It's.....depressing.
    Is there any hope that all the spoilers (about his death) are fake?

    One can always hope, but I'm pretty convinced Han will die. I'd love to be wrong, though.

    What's the difference between Han dying in the first film versus the third? It's going to be depressing for fans no matter what. But the writers have to do what's best for the story.

    Dying in the last film seems more appropriate for the story of their characters....the new and the old ones.
    And as an ending climax can be epic.
    But in the first film.....we have just get them back to lose them (or him)........
    I don't get the point.

    ElizaD, there is hope until the film opens. It is more likely that things have changed rather than being 'fake' but it is of course a possibility. As someone who does not want Han or any other OT character to die, I am preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best. It is NOT a done-deal though, and don't let anyone tell you differently. The rumor -- other than Ford's history of disliking Star Wars -- is based on one line from MSW's leaked information that is months old and could have changed or been a smokescreen.

    Don't fret until you have something to fret about ... but be prepared. I am right there with you.

    My one and only concern for this film is the matter of Han Solo. A top 3 fan favorite in the most popular film series in the world, dying off in the first of the new trilogy!!

    The only way that I will feel better about this, is if Harrison Ford insisted.

    I mean, we probably won't get a scene with the big 3 together...

    My question. If this rumor is real, what are Disney and JJ Abrams thinking??

    Han Solo dying is probably the main reason why Ford was willing to do TFA in the first place (apart from the ridiculous amount of money Disney most likely paid him). Ford pestered Lucas since ROTJ to kill Solo off--and it looks like JJ is fulfilling his wish.
