Check out the interview HERE.
Oh, I think it's in the bag Harrison.
You should have seen him on the red carpet. He expressed his true feelings for the franchise.
Finally a piece of tangible news! 99% certain.
He's still got a few tricks left in him, sweetheart.
Disney, all three actors and George Lucas have probably said more than you ever wanted them to...just confirm or deny the rumors and be done with it already
I hope his heart is in it. While Indy4 lacked, I don't think it was due to him dialing it in.
Seriously, if it came from Harrison himself, it's in the bag. Disney really needs to just announce it. We don't care about the "big whoop-dee-doo". A simple "yes, they will be returning" will suffice. We'll still go nuts.
^ THIS. Forget the hoopla! Disney, just put them down as the cast and the fan world will implode with joy.
IDK, I can imagine a lot. Of "whoop-de-do" that is.
It suddenly seems a touch more real today doesn't it?!
Just confirm it now, Disney! You can still do the big 'whoop-de-do' but the cat's out of the bag so why not stop torturing us and announce it.
Let's shoot this thing and go home
You dont say. Damn Harrison...you're soo adorable when you try to get around the obvious.
He was quiet for a a bit before answering. He could have said, yes or no, but he had to come up with some kind of answer which means yes he is in.
Still not 100% in the bag, according to that interview- he thinks it will happen. I know, I know... Just tempering people's enthusiasm in case anything goes wrong.
Suppose Disney is trying to keep the lid on it until Star Wars Weekends?
Well if they can't get Ford, they could always try Daniel Day Lewis. He would pretend to be Harrison Ford for all of the filming.
I have no doubt that Disney wants the "Big Three/Four" in their movies. I have no doubt that all of them want to be in those movies. I have no doubt that talks are underway. I have no doubt that the sticking point is money.
If you are Disney and the scripts are crucial to the big 3 being in that story, then you open those purse strings. Widely.
This movie will make a ton. It will unite fans in ways not seen since.....(stalks away).
If anyone could do it....
I wouldn't be surprised if they were all signed, but can't say anything until Disney announces it. It would fit with what George let slip.
To Disney: Have fun having some big "whoop-de-do" over something that we all already know. IDK...I guess the whoop-de-doo would be more fun if we didn't know for sure they were returning cause it kinda seems obvious they'll all return. Lets just hope Disney has something spectacular planned that isn't just a "Have them show up in a video and talk". Theatricality and showboastyness are powerful agents to use in announcements.
I agree. I'm sure Harrison, Billy Dee, Carrie, and Mark's agents agree, too.
But let's be honest here - other than Harrison, none of them has headlined a big movie in a very long time. And considering these will probably be basically extended cameos in which the OT characters "pass the torch" on to our new ST cast, how much can they really be asked to pay?
The bottom line is, this needs to be resolved soon, because Michael Arndt needs to know who he's writing into his script. So I expect the negotiations are rather fast and furious just now, and that we'll have an official announcement after not very long at all.
Well, to be fair to Disney, we on this site know a lot more than the general public. Not everyone is following every snippet of news like we are. It will still be a big "whoop-de-do" to them.
