I wonder if he's still piloting the Falcon Millennium or if he passed the torch to another guy.

 

I hope he didn't do that. I want to see Han piloting the Millennium Falcon. And I'm sure I'm not alone in that. I would be very disappointed if we didn't see Han flying her in this movie. It was bad enough we didn't get to see it in ROTJ.

 

Yeah it was. I heard he was supposed to make an appearance but it was ultimately scrapped, a simple cameo like Peter Cushing's character wouldn't have been bad.

 

If Han does die in this trilogy, I'm leaning toward he will, I want him to go down with the Falcon.

 

I like this idea. Not that I want Han to die, but I'd rather he die taking out the guy/girl who kills him, and I don't want to lose the Falcon (or Chewie) in the equation, either. However, I'd also be open to him staying behind to destroy the superweapon. Maybe the "cut off from Rey and encounters Phasma" thing could happen, and Han gets mortally wounded, and then he stays behind to destroy the superweapon.

 

No it isn't, but I think it's also the franchising-i-tis Hollyweird has been suffering from too (and shows no signs of recovering from.) Says she who is sporting the avatar of a character in another franchise... - Darned if you do, darned if you don't.

I get it, as much as I'd like to see Luke make it most of the way through, so others want to see Han and Leia do so too. Completely cool.

As long the stories and characterization support them. As I've said I can see a longer arc for an older Luke, but Han and Leia not really, even if they are someone's parents. For the record, I am less of a fan of the Looper director than I am J.J. so my enthusiasm post Ep. 7 has everything to do with the characters and the story. So if the Looper dude can knock VIII and IX out of the park and validate why the OT characters should continue onward great.

 

No, I don't want Han to die either, and I'm far from convinced it is even on the cards, but I after just watching another Abrams movie with an awesome death scene, and comparing it to the woefully awful death scene given to Kirk in Star Trek Generations, I was thinking how any writer would have a tough job writing the death scene of any of the Original characters.

Han Solo has obviously spent 30 years being stretched in a torture chamber since Jedi.

 

Strange how the costume designers keep giving Han the ANH blaster...

Or maybe old Mal just got an ancient prop replica from Earth-That-Was.

Interesting that it came from the same site that claimed back in Nov 2012, that the movie will have the Big 3 back and that the lead would be a female.

Love the new concept art! In particular, the painting of Chewie is just a beautiful piece of art. They both look pretty much as expected though. That's not a bad thing, but I want a glimpse of Luke and Leia already! They're more wildcards in terms of what they'll look like.
