FF:NSW Harry Potter/AOTC Trailer Meet - Deadline is Sunday Nov 11

Well, as Enna said in the November Meet thread:

I rang up Hoyts today. They give excellent rates for group bookings ($98 for ten and the 11th is free. We could book now but session times don't come out for ages so all we could define is morning/evening/night. The guy at Broadway suggested we wait until about a week and a half before the movie comes out if we want to book a specific session time.

So, I'm suggesting we do Thursday (the 29th) afternoon, around 5pm/6pm so that a) we can gloat that we went on the first day and b) we can avoid a lot of the mothers and fathers with young kids.

Obviously, the aim would be to get at least 10 people, so I'm proposing this: we bring as many people as we can along, Fanforce or not.

The only condition is this:

EVERYONE coming MUST confirm either in this thread or via PM to me, with the number of people they will be bringing, by the 15th of November. That's 10 days from now.

So...anyone interested?

 

Ill do it, but lets aim for a 6-630 time. That will give us tim ti get there

 

Fair enough - I suggested earlier so that people who have school/uni/work, etc the next day aren't out too late.

 

What bout George St? Isnt that easier for a lot of people to get to. For me to get to Broadway, I'll have to train to Central then bus up ><

 

I should be able to make it; depends on my class timetable for the day. But a train in to Syd shouldn't be too difficult.

 

Yeah, I agree - George Street is better. If we can get that, great, but if we can't it may have to be Broadway.

 

Well, i dont mind George st, but on opening night, that cinema is going to be PACKED TO THE BRIM with people.

It will be INSANELY busy, and we'll need to get there REALLY early.

I mean INTO the line to et in early, even if we do have tickets.

I just think Broadway would take the pressure off.

And u can walk to Broadway from Town Hall, it'll take 10 mins.. maybe 20 iif we walk slow.

But I dont mind. I follow where u all lead

Clarification: I rang Broadway because George st just wouldn't pick up their damn phone.

Scream has a very good point about getting there early. Even at Broadway some of us would have to get there very early (say an hour).

 

Well...I don't think I'll have anything to do that day - I'll volunteer.

 

Not like I have anything to do either being unemployed, if you want company Shara, I'm around

 

heck, if we can get George St lets go for it, I just think Broadway is a better bet.

 

I'm an going to have a hell of a time explaining this to my parents but I'll think it'll all work out nicely. I dont know if I'll be bringing anyone along though.

It is - I asked when I was at Hoyts a while ago.

Besides - most of us love Harry as well, so there's still that.

I'll double check, though.

 

Sounds fun. Count me in. I think Broadway is a much better idea as well. It's not that far away from Central and is a hell of a lot quieter than George St on any day of the week.
