SWRPF Archive Harry Potter RPG Thread:New!

Welcome, people, to Hogwarts Castle, the Harry Potter RPG Thread! This HP RPG will take off at the beginning of Harry Potter?s sixth year with the Feast and the Sorting.

Story: Harry Potter has begun his sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The evil Lord Voldemort has already gained back those who were captured at that awful night in the Ministry of Magic. His hatred for all good grows greater and greater with each passing day, and he has amassed an army of the most foul creatures known to the wizarding world, like trolls and ogres, and giants and dementors. He has convinced himself that he must stop his obsession with killing Harry first. Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters are planning a massive attack on Hogwarts Castle, which will take place at the last month of the Hogwarts School Year (June.). If this attempt to besiege Hogwarts prevails, indeed the entire World of Magic will be within the grasp of Voldemort?s hand, and muggles, both practicers of magic and non-magic alike, will be doomed all throughout the world to a terrible future. Albus Dumbledore, the greatest Headmaster Hogwarts has ever had, has knowledge that Voldemort plans to attack the castle, and must prepare the faculty and students at Hogwarts for this.

You may play any character you want from the Harry Potter Universe. You may also make up your own character, and at the bottom of this post will be the profile guidelines for those characters. I myself will play the role of Harry Potter. But keep in mind, that the higher you go up the importance for characters, the more risky and dangerous it grows for you. So for example if you have the great fortune to be able to play Lord Voldemort, your freedom grows very thin. Voldemort can not just loll around in Hogwarts Castle dancing on Christmas Eve!

Your character may go anywhere in the Harry Potter Universe and be friends with other characters, both user controlled and free. But you may also invent places for your character to go, like maybe you want there to be a secret hideout for your character and its friends, and so you invent it and...have fun!

Unfortunately people, you can not play dead characters that are not ?confirmed ghosts?. This means no one can pick Sirius Black. He is not a confirmed ghost. You can not pick Cedric Diggory as well. However if your character dies throughout the course of this game, you may return with the ghost of your character!! But member, ghosts have considerably much more limited magical ability than the living wizards and witches. They can not wield wands perhaps most importantly...

There will be absolutely, positively no god-moding! Once your character is hit by the Killing Curse ( Avada Kedavra) for example, he or she is dead! D-E-A-D! Dead! You may bring back him or her as a ghost though.

About killing, your character must make sure his or her opponent character is aware that he or she is on his or her 'death list'. You can not just say in a thread: 'He pointed his wand at the person and said 'Avada KEDAVRA!' No. N-O! You must give the opponent the chance to avoid the attack.

Lastly, you don?t have to play characters related to Hogwarts and the Dark Side forces. You can be Molly Weasely to Cornelius Fudge. You may also play non-human characters, like Dobby, but it would be wise to select characters that seem to have a freewill, and not those like dementors which are basically guided by their instict to devour all that is happy.

Keep in mind that as we go along, the Harry Potter Universe time is similiar. I realized that I would be starting this thread in December. I expect that somwhere around June to July of 2004, the attack on Hogwarts Castle will take place.

Biography: Xavier Drax was enrolled at Hogwarts at age 11. He was put into Slytherin House because the Sorting Hat saw it fit and he asked the it to. Xavier is very good at Potionmaking, Defense against the Dark Arts, Care for Magical Creatures, and Transfiguration. He also has his Apparation Liscence. His Redwood Wand is an heirloom passed down from his Great-Grandfather. In addition to obtaining the Wand, he learned a charm that could conjure lightning bolts from the tip by using a magic word that only he knows (Advocus Fulgor) - His Great-Grandfather passed the information down to him. Although Xavier can't figure out why, almost all the Slytherin girls have taken a liking to him. Xavier is currently a 6th Year at Hogwarts and a Chaser on the Slytherin Quidditch Team. He's also Professor Snape's favorite student.

Biography: Draco enrolled at Hogwarts at elevn years of age. His father had tried to get him into Durmstrang, but was unable due to the difference in the school year. Malfoy quickly became an enemy of Harry at Hogwarts due to the insults thrown to Ron and Hermione. Became prefect of Slytherin in his fifth year at Hogwarts and never made Harry forget it. Does extremely well at potionmaking and passes his other subjects.

Since arriving at Hogwarts, she has done all she can to undermine Harry's 'good' deeds, with killing him as an option, but has so far failed. In the good books of all the teachers, she likes to spend most evenings in the library with her best friend, (if she can be called a 'friend') Agnes Brown.

Biography: Dijon was born into a family, which hates non wizards, so very young she thought Muggles were wrong. When she stumbled upon some muggles at age 4, she found her family was wrong. Her Parents were killed when she was 15, she was automatically sent to her uncle Lucius Malfoy and her cousin, Malfoy.

Dijon is in Gryfindoor, which makes Draco mad, but sees it as an oppurtunity to do something to her. She is 17 now and walks around with a history, that blacks out.
