    Arh, I don't care what negative things people say about HP, I love it! I enjoy reading the books, i like the humour, the plots, the sheer cleverness of it all and gengerally everything about it.

    BTW, don't judge HP just by the movie, read the books before you decide.

    Like it. I've enjoyed all the Potter books thus far however I don't think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread (as some try to label them).

    I was also a bit disappointed by the movie too. LOTR on the other hand ... :)

    that's very true, hawk.

    But did every one know that that's how all the great writers wrtie? They read a good idea here, then read another one there, take them both, mix them up with a little of their own ideas, and ta-da! you have a new - hopefully interesting - story.

    And Harry Potter is a good story. Sure, it might sound like Mathilda, but like someone said, Rowling probably took her style from Dahl. Isn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery?
    And unless you've read it, you can't give a decent opinion, so don't knock what you honestly don't know.
