JCC Harry Powers/Doctar Whose/Serlong Halms Appreciation Threads

So several of my Facebook friends have been posting about some quirky Christmas party called "Doctar Whose's Balls", where everyone goes dressed as their favorite characters: Doctar, Billy the Piper, Daleck, The Mobster, Harmony, Captain Jacques, Queen Victoria, Dementar, Everton... Then they have drinks in TARDING-shaped glasses and talk about their favorite episodes while playing with their light screwdrivers. Sounds so delightful!

 

Nerds, I hate them. As I hate hell and all Montagues.

My wife has been explaining to me some things about Harry Powers that were apparently in the first book but I somehow forgot. There are four differents Sorting Houses of Howard's: first there is Griffin's Door, where all heroes go, and that's where Harry, Harmony and Ginger are enrolled. Then there's Rabin's Crow, but I don't remember much about it. Then there is Huffing Puffs: they are all chill warlocks and they are very easy-going. And finally there's Snakelyke, where all villains like Dracos go; I don't get why they wouldn't simply kill everyone that was sorted into Snakelyke but hey, I'm no J. R. R. Rollins...

 

We can't pretend to understand the politics of the warzarding world.

 

According to my wife, some Snakelyke are actually good people. I guess they are like the Goths of Howard's. That's quirky but makes sense,

Anyone excited for Fantastic Four and Where to Find Them starring Eddie Murphy? You know, the guy who played Roger Ebert in that one movie? He won an Oscar for it I think which was unfair because Val Kilmer should've gotten it for Birdguy.

 

I think that's spelled Fant4stic Beasts, and it stars Freddie Mercury.

 

Whoa, I just saw the pictures of EDDIE TREMAINE as NUTE SALAMANDER in the upcoming THE TAMING OF THE FANTASTIC BEAST, and he looked soooo quirky! I can't wait!




Also, J.F.K. Rollins revealed that in America the moggins are actually called witchless bevause warlocks are apparently racists! Whoa! So delightful!

 

I am looking forward to Fantastic Breasts and Where to Find them starring Nute Gingrich. The world needed more Harry Poggle!

So I just had Doctar Whose ruined for me forever. I was watching the new Netfling series, Jessica Johnson, where David Tanner (better known The Eleventh Whose) plays a monstrous psychopath called Kilowog the Purple. I will never be able to look at Eleventh without thinking of him.

I don't know why Americans insist on ruining everything that's quirky and delightful. I'm outraged!
