Has anyone made the jump to HYPERSPACE yet?

I meant to include one more option, but the board gremlins decided to post my thread before I could add it. So, I guess its a write-in at this point.

I'm stingy with my republic credits, and need them more than Lucas does. (Besides, Hyperspace... toys, hyperspace... toys... not a hard decision there!)

 

I could think of better things to do with my money.

 

Hyperspace is the new area of The Official Site. It's a Pay-Per-View kind of area where you need to pay for a membership and get all kinds of info. I see several problems with this:

a) It's not included in the Fan Club Membership. You have to pay for another fee to be "in the loop". Besides news you don't get anything (not even a "Thank You" note).

b) It's highly probable someone will get the membership and leak out its contents. Hey, that's what being a fellow fan is all about!

c) Does Uncle George need more money?

 

woo hoo more BS for uncle george to sale us. count me out even If I was at home I wouldnt give him any more money.

 

a) I already belong to a fanforce for...FREE!...and if I did join the "official fan club" and paid my $$, I'd expect to get stuff like that for free. That's just a joke IMO.

b) I'm COUNTING ON IT!

c) No. He doesn't.

I would join if it included a special limited edition, nobody else can get, really really cool collectable.......and 2 tickets to the first midnite showing of Ep. III, to the theatre of my choice......

 

Apparently, "registered" Hyperspace users have the opportunity to enter a contest & win a trip to the Ep III set in Australia.

So, I guess joinin' the site now is kinda like playin' the Lottery...


Interesting Marketing tactic...

 

While it would be nice to win, it's still not enough for me to join. If, perhaps, they did what LOTR did and have a list of people that shows up at the end of the movie, then I might be convinced.

 

Nope, sorry, just can't see myself doing anything like that.... Not when, if I wanted to, I could get my spoilers for free

 

Made the jump. Love it. I used to check out Dilbert.com first thing every day. Now I pop the webcam up on my second monitor and let it run the whole time I am at work. And the set diaries are awesome. Lots of info, but not enough to spoil the suprises...

Oh, and I'm gonna win the constest and go to Sydney. When I do you all have to join so that you can read MY set diary. I'm glad so many are not signing up. Gives me a better chance of winning! Thanks!

At the moment they are building a REALLY BIG set on the webcam. Can't wait to see it on film!
