I'm familiar with the meetup.com concept (I'm a member of counterstrike.meetup.com) but never thought about Star Wars for it.

It'd be a great way to solicit new members for the group.

 

should we discuss it this weekend then at the meeting?

Most definitely. In fact, I think it'd be great just to discuss various ways to recruit new members. You know, talk about a "membership drive" of sorts.

 

we can always try that and see what happens... you never know.

 

How about Public Access to advertise or recruit? I still like that idea. When my Dish Network package runs out, I'm going back to Comcast. Public Access rocks...
