    I haven't seen the film, but I get the impression Avatar is the time-tested "myth of the noble savage" being repackaged and sold to the current generation of filmgoers.


    One, I hate that term, "noble savage", which seems to indicate that someone who is not technically advanced is a savage. And two, why not see the movie first, before you allow others to make judgments for you.
