Ok so it looks like we around the richmond area don't do much. Has there ever or at least recently been anykind of get together or something? Also anyone know any good places in the area to find switches for a lightsaber...besides radio shack.

It does sound kinda fun. I usually live out my Star Wars fantasies by playing the video games they have released. KOTOR 1 and 2, along with Republic commando are my favorites.

There was a convention, a free one, down in Chesapeake, Va. last Saturday. And there'll be a convention here next April 21-23, 2006 called Ravencon that will have costuming panels and a masquerade too. I know, I'm the masquerade director. Check out http://ravencon.com. There'll be authors, authro GOH Terry Brooks (he wrote Ep I novelization), fandom panels and author panels, plus masquerade and creature feature late night film after masquerade, plsu more.

I found a great switch at Advance Auto Parts, you can see it on my second saber here: [link=http://hometown.aol.com/customlightsaber/index.html ]http://hometown.aol.com/customlightsaber/index.html [/link]

Its long and thin, so it works well with a curved tube. Low profile too, compared to my other ones.
