Nice, NH and Vermont are always fun to go to.

I'm also going on vacation next week to Barcelona. Should be fun.

Barcelona is cool. I was there a few years ago, but only for about a day. The art museum was closed since it was a Monday. Annoying.

I'm going to leave for my trip tomorrow, though the State Dept worldwide travel warning is concerning.

I speak Spanish but not as well as I'd like, since I've never been to a Spanish-speaking country. Spain has been on my list for awhile.

Of course it's Catalan in Barcelona as opposed to traditional Spanish.

I went to Mexico years ago, so this will be the second Spanish-speaking country I'll have visited. My Spanish is pretty rusty though.

Of course, if we take a day trip to Southern France I'll be totally lost, since I can say about 10 words in French. :p

Eh, you can get by with Castilian in Barcelona. Everyone knows it.

I only need three words: "Je suis l'Empereur."

Je parle français. C'était mon sujet primaire d'étude à l'université.

It's been awhile but I spent a month in a small French town where nobody speaks English. Survival learning FTW.

Just over 12 hours 'til I leave. I hope I have internets there, otherwise it's going to be really boring at night. :p Oh well -- I've gotten myself extra batteries for my phone, and I'm bringing my kindle along so I can get plenty of reading in.

If I do end up being offline for a couple of weeks, try not to blow up Lit while I'm gone. Or the JCC :p

"My son is better than that, Nikolaj!"

Bit late, but thank you for that.
I am now on a commentary watching spree.

So I finally got around to reactivating my account on here after my IRC server continued to refuse to get on the #eu channel.

This new site is gonna take some getting used to. :p

I'm still never gonna watch that show. That said, I do hope they at least do a Thick Of It / In the Loop homage by having him curse up a storm. I'd be willing to watch a clip of that at least.

Also welcome back certain persons who have blythely abandoned us!
