I couldn't stand my piano teacher when I was younger and its turned me off to piano playing to this day. I've heard both the main theme and the Imp march played on it though.

I've tapped out the Imperial March. I don't have the music, so I fumbled through it by ear.

I taught myself the Imperial March, which is very fun to play! I also have played the Star Wars Main theme and Yoda's Theme. It's also fun to play it on the keyboard and use different instruments. Pipe organ definitely for the Imperial March!

I can play the main theme and Use the Force theme. If it isn't too much trouble could u tell me the notes for the other tunes (especially Yoda's theme and Victory celebration from ROTJ) or where on the net I can get them from. Thanks.

I have piano music for selections from the OT and TPM, and I play that music often. Some of my favorites are the Force theme, Luke and Leia's theme, the Throne Room, and Anakin's theme. :D

I have managed to figure out most 'Star Wars' melodies (in a one-finger-on-the-synthesizer style), but that heroic fanfare bit from 'The Asteroid Field' has never sounded quite right.
It's been over twenty years, so if you could tell me the notes that would be very helpful. :)

Nope, don't know how to play the piano. But my god isn't that the one thing I have promised I'll learn during this lifetime.

I dream that once in my life I'll be able to play Williams' end credits piano portion. It's so incredible... it moves me to tears each time (especially the concert arrangement without the strings)

Star Wars came out when I was learning piano, and it was a great incentive to learn things by ear. I've got some sheet music but have figured a lot of other stuff out as well.

For Carbonite, here's what I think you're asking about from The Asteroid Field (about 2:18 into the track): (underscores represent relatively longer notes)

    A__ Bb G E_ A G___ E_____
    Ab__ G F# D A_ F# E____
    Bb__ B Ab F_ Bb Ab__ F__
    B__ Bb A F C__
    Bb B___ Bb A F C__ Bb B

    Hope that makes sense.

I can play the piano by ear.

I find that most orchestral works don't have the same kind of tone when you play them on the piano though.

By far, the best SW piece to play on the piano is the Cantina Song, because it works so well as a jazz piece by itself. Figure out the chord progression and you can improv over it, or fiddle around with the rhythm and style.
