(wouldn't everone!!!!!!!!!!) !!!!!!!
I gotta agree with ekenobi that the trailers get me all pumped up for the movie. But I will do my best to remain spoiler free. I won't even go to get the new action figs when they come out at the toys r us midnight opening.
I can only say, that I hadn't seen the trailers for AOTC, only sone still photo's, and most of those at the theatre (you know they have stills from the movie as commercialising.
I was so much more thrilled than with TPM.
I can only recommend it.

I'll try to be even spoilerfree, even if it means "no movies for 3-4 months before III for you, pal"
Darn, I miswrote it. What I meant was: I'll try to be even trailerfree etc.....
No spoilers or trailers? Very hard, but I believe it'll be rewarding.
Okay, but come spring '05, who is gonna go commercial free? I don't wanna see nuttin! I don't want to know what planets we'll see, what the ships will be like, nothing.
No evil CD soundtrack covers. No idiotic late night talk show hosts. No toys. No cereal.
I did good for EpII, but I can do better!!
Hippie I know what you mean, as I happened to see a commercial at gamespot.com that revealed the new look of teh clone troopers.
If you check the link to the first club you will see a little ode to that event.

Hmm, am I still TrailerFree, even if I saw the Episode III: Rise of the Empire -legobrickanimation??? It's not official, so it can't affect my TrailerFree-status, or can it? I'm in despair, help me! Tell me!
BTW, it was great
I agree with DarthTerrious, I know I can stay spoiler free, but not even gonna try to stay trailer free. maybe I'll just watch the the teasers so I don't know much about the story.
I am with you! Except on the trailer part. I just can't help it! There's a difference between watching the trailer, then going online and reading all the comments and rumors and watching the trailer on your own and not discussing it on the forums. I did really well with AOTC. My only slip was when I got the soundtrack I made the mistake of looking at the pictures in the insert. Doh!
Spoiler-free's the only way to be!! (Oooh! that was kind of catchy!)
I have seen the light! The Dark Side!
If I see Ep3-trailer coming, I'll just close my eyes and ears and say "agaagaaagagagagaggagagagagagaaagaaatellmewhenitsoveraaagagaggagagagagagaaaagagaaa"
Maybe I'll buy the SoundTrack before I see the film, like I did with the other 2 prequels, but this time I won't listen to them, look at the pics or anything.
Join this side before it is to late!
You don't know the power of this side!
DD - The Free Spliff
It would be great to be spoiler free, but I know I'm too weak.
I will not be able to resist with all the knowledge of the world just one click away..
So I will soak up every bit of information I can get.
But, promised, I will not share my infos here!
"Is the Spoiler Side stronger?"
"No! No. Quicker. Easier. More seductive."
"But how will I know spoilers from the non-spoilers, and when the trailers will play?"
"You will know. When says it 'click to highlight' and when in theatres 'Lucasfilm' logo appears it will."
I was spoiled for the last two Star Wars films. Been with theforce.net since 1998 following each spoiler. This time however, is different. I can't ever watch a new Star Wars movie with the option of being spoiled or not. No more Star Wars movies will ever be released after this (well, maybe after Lucas dies and Fox worms it's way into the franchise and utterly DESTROYS it... but I pray that doesn't happen).
To be honest, I think I would have liked to have seen Attack of the Clones without knowing anything beforehand. I think it would have been 10 times better. As good as it was, I think there is just something magical about not knowing what's next.
I hadn't really thought about "no trailers either!" That is pretty hardcore. But, again, there are no more Star Wars movies after this. If I am going to do it, I might as well do it all the way. I don't want part of a fight scene spoiled for me. I would hate to see snippets of Anakin's and Obi-Wan's fight or pieces of dialogue from it. I'd hate to have other key scenes revealed to me in any fashion.
I avoided many spoilers for episode Ii (not consciously, my excitement just lay dormant until October or so of last year) and then one trip to TFN's main page ruined it for me. Once you "click to highlight" you can't stop. You can't stop at just one.
"Once you start down the spoiled path, forever will it dominate that particular movie experience."
I think I will avoid the trailers. I've always been the hardcore Star Wars nerd in my circle of friends. Now I'll be the hardcore guy who avoids anything Episode III-ish.
Jeez I hope Doritos doesn't spoil anything as badly as it did for II. They had Yoda with a lightsaber as one of their bag designs, and this was before II came out! Maybe they'll show Mace Windu decapitating Plo Koon's head, showing he's (Windu) a corrupt Jedi (heh heh... IF that was the case).
But count me in this club. I'll be part of the "Plug my ears, shut my eyes, and say "La lal la la I can't hear you" when people start talking about III or when a trailer comes on" club.
I am still in the club. It's going to be a difficult path, especially come trailer time, but I am going to hold true to this one since it is the last chance.
A New Hope is the only Star Wars movie I have seen without any clue of the plot/concept whatsoever. I want to be as close to that for Episode II as I can get.
It will pay off come time when the Lucasfilm Logo hits the screen and you realize that you are in for one totally fresh Star Wars experience!!
Good Luck to everyone!!
It will be very hard so i will not even try, because this is what it means for me.
1) No More TFN
2) Super Selective use of the internet
3) Can't read the entertianment section of the newspaper.
4) Avioding trailer at the movie
5) Oh, and you might have friends that like SW too and they are spoiled and they tell you stuff, evil.
All i new about TPM was what the trailers showed, and i had a good movie experience.
With ATOC I had just signed on to TFN so I knew way more, and it didn't bother me one bit.
If you can do it more power to you, but i think the trailers are going to be hard to resist for the hardcore fan, click of a mouse and there it is, too easy.
And if they show Vader fighting in the trailer well.........who will be able to resist.
I was in the club for ATOC and I'm here for E III. People laugh at the idea of avoiding trailers, I'll tell you that it can be a blast. I dived out of the theater as the Clone Wars trailer was starting before Ice Age, it was actually fun and something you can tell your kids about (they made think you're weird).
Also, you get very hyped up going trailer free. Every time I dodged a trailer or switched channels for a commercial I got so hyped for the movie. Go for it guys, it is so worth it.
Now I just got to figure out what to do about the toys.
Yes, yes! Join us. Or die horribly.
It's quite easy to avoid data 'bout III:
Don't read tFn movies-boards, don't visit StarWars.com, at the movies do "idonhearathingidonthearathing" during trailers, threaten your spoiled friends with a stick or force them to join this club. It's worth every heartbeat.
I didn't know Ewok's ***t about AotC and it was an Experience I don't forget. Try it, you won't regret it a split-second.
But how to avoid those outdoors-campaign posters? Well, I have to admit I mostly stared at the Padmé-poster, but I saw the Jango version too (forgot who was in the third...)
I have joined the Spoiler-Free side! This is my last chance to be spoiler free for a Star Wars movie, and I want to know what its like! AOTC would have been so much better the first time if I hadn't seen the trailers, read reviews, etc.
Do we have any kind of spoiler-free prayer to keep us faithful?
I told myself that I was gonna be spoiler free a long time ago. And I continue, has of now I have not read anything on Ep3! I might watch a trailer later down the road, but thats it.
i don't know if i've already joined here or not, if not then here i am, planning to be 100% spoiler free, nothing for me from episode III, wow thats a rhyme.
i have a thread, kinda like a help group for those feeling that pull to the darkside, i shall bring it back out next year, when the spoilers are more...
A help group for those who are tempted by the spoilers? Wow, strange, but Great Idea!
I'm with you too! I will be spoilerfree. To me being trailerfree will probably be easy, because I don't go to movies really often.
To keep the spirit i return again, to support the path toward the spoiler and trailer free experience.
DD - Spoiled Spliff
I have to do something really crazed to commemorate the death of star wars. When a trailer comes on in the theater I will run out singing "LA LA LA LA..." covering my ears.
I want to have NO inkling of whats going to happen in ep3. I dont want to know whos in it, or what they will look like.
I went really spoiled for ep2, and Im looking for something obsessive to do for the last star wars movie ever, and to make may 25th 12:01 a.m. the best day of my life.
Do we have a list of all people who are going spoiler and TRAILER free for ep3?
By the power of the Sith! I'll commit myself to the spoiler-free club!
count me in guys. I'm spoiler free for Episode 1 and spoiled like hell for EP 2. And I want to kill myself for knowing what the little guy is going to do...
