LOL... we could have just as easily voided the OT waaaaaaaay back in TPM. Obi-Wan got saved by Ben when he was dangling there. Had Qui-Gon lived... perhaps Anakin doesn't turn. Anakin could've listened to Yoda, and Maul could've survived the 17 second death scene. Gotta luv the alternate posssi-billli-tiesss.:p

True...Padme would not have died during childbirth because she was so heartbroken that Anakin turned, Anakin, Padme and the twins would have gone into exile like Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi to hide from Palpatine, but by the time the alternate timeline events of ANH would have happened, The Emperor would have not only have to deal with a non-mechanically limited Chosen One who retains all of his Force potential, and would certainly have been a Master, but his 20 year old son and daughter, both extremely potent with the Force as well, and trained since birth to defeat him. Instead of one poorly trained Jedi and treacherous apprentice in ROTJ to deal with in Luke and Vader, he has to go against the united front of Anakin, Luke, Leia, Obi-Wan Kenobi (who doesn't get killed by Vader in ANH, because they never would have dueled on the DS), and possibly other Skywalker offspring. (I am assuming Yoda still dies on schedule.) Its also reasonable to state that had Anakin listened, Obi-Wan and Yoda would have been hiding WITH the Skywalkers, so Luke and Leia, and any other hypothetical siblings would have been trained by 3 Jedi Masters. The Emperor is screwed, and the galaxy is a better place.

If Anakin listens to the Force, the Empire is defeated much more easily.

Yep, and of course it's only when Anakin finally does listen to the Force that the Empire is destroyed.

Father (Anakin) Skywalker was a Jedi that was killed by another Jedi named Darth Vader, who later became a Sith Knight who wore a cool black space-suit to get from one ship to another just like his whiteclad storm-troopers who had their own breathing aparatus' inside, simple... except Lucas got this idea after Starw Wars meteoric-rise that the two should become one and voila we have this now crippled Force User who walked VERY uncrippled in ANH, BUT LUMBERED MORE IN esb, stirred by the recollection of Ben calling him Darth and topped off by Leia making out with her brother and I'm running out of breathe...

I imagine that a Sith Lord father would be quite proud of his son and daughter making out . . . . .[face_devil] [face_pig]

Funny how the 'extra-vehicular' Vader suit initially envisioned for ANH finds its way on-screen in ROTS with Grievous.

GG, the cyborg prototype for our beloved OT Vader, employs OT Vader's 'unrealized' space-walking tactics six films later!

Whoa! Deja Vu, baby! Or is this Vuja De (never been there, never done that)?

EDITS = html bug bit me!
