It's OK Deto, I wouldn't want to come to Perth either. :)

You can download smaller versions from various places on the net (320 by something or other) including the official SW site I believe.

    Hmmm... :D

Thanks for your help, guys. And Perth really isn't that bad. I quite liked it, in fact. But...I still don't think it has anything on Sydney. I mean, what city would?

And...well, I think either way I would have to not see it before the movies. As I said, I've been over spoiled, and I don't want RotS to turn into another TPM for me... :p
Which i don't think would be entirely possible, without "wizard" dialogue like "Are you an angel?" or "Yipeee!!!"

"Well, you do look really good in the dark."
What the hell? Is that supposed to be a compliment or an insult? Go Ani, you're da man.

Don't mind me. I'm just watching episode 21 of Clone Wars. Man Ani is a champion... And that scene where he gets C3PO to show off his gold-plated casing (is that even a spoiler? Meh, made you look either way) to the vaguely striptease music is disturbing.

Go on, you want to look at what's under the highlight. :p

We were discussing the (third season) second part of Clone Wars at the recent Qld boards BBQ, and some of the guys mentioned that there are things in Clone Wars (I can't be specific, sorry) that contravene things in RotS.

So, take Clone Wars as "this is kinda what happens, but not exactly what happens, between AOTC and RotS", and you'll be fine.

I just want them to release the official Clone Wars Part 2 DVD (of the current season on Cartoon Network) before RotS comes out!

Just like all EU, contradictions all over the place.

    I just ignore it.

The thing I love about the Clone Wars EU is that it's a slap in the face to all the overenthusiastic folk who pore over every single detail trying to figure out how to work the blatant contradictions together. Lucas gave the writers/directors/programmers enough scope that we get predominantly good material, even if someone's lightsaber colour isn't exactly right. I enjoy the EU, enough so that minor discrepancies are completely irrelevant considering that it's all just preparation for the movie, in which none of these little errors actually matter.

On that note, the CW EU is far better at maintaining continuity than the post-ROTJ stuff.

I'd love it if Mace Windu's ship is purple like it is in Clone Wars. That was cool.

And honestly, looking at Mace, Yoda and occasionally Ani - why the hell do they need a Clone army? Those three together rock harder than the Clones ever could...

I don't care that these may or may not actually be spoilers. I like highlighting things in black. :p

    ooooh, black highlights :p

I enjoy the EU for what it is, an extension of what 'could be' from other writers perspectives. It's not the movies, not from the man that made them or his imagination, so of course there will be differences. Saying that though, the Clone Wars series does a great job of keeping as close to the movie as possible. It's just fun to read the books, watch the other shows, to see all the other things that can happen to all these characters. And there are some damn good writers out there taking full advantage of the freedom Lucas as brought to his franchise. Zahn anyone? :)
