"Heir to the Empire" question

    I just read Volume #1 with hopes of knowing what happens to Ruhk (Thrawn's Nohgri bodyguard) and Grand Admiral Thrawn. Unfortunately, it seems that I would have to read the entire three-volume collection to find out. I don't have time for this.

    Can someone tell me what happens to Thrawn and Ruhk?

    Thrawn is assassinated by Rukh and we don't know what happens to Rukh, only that he's not mentioned again.

    Ah, I suppose Princess Leia (Lady Vader) was able to persuade the Noghri to rebel.

    Rukh was killed before he was able to escape. An elite Stormtrooper unit led by Major Tierce intercepted him on his way to the shuttles and ended the traitors life.
