Hey, im from FFAK, and thought id say hi.
Some of ya might know me.
I have no idea who you are, but all are welcome in FFNZ.
Who is this guy?! Who let him in here?
Hey Windo, did you play some JO yesterday in the TFN server? Some guy came in and I thought it was you but you never said hi" back...
Hello there person-I-do-not-know!
Alaska, wow. Hmm, what do I know about Alaska ... well, it snows there, a lot. I've never seen snow in real life, not even on top of mountains. Whenever I've been down Taranaki or Ruapehu way, the mountains have been fogged over. Ah well, one day.
I also know that the English sold Alaska to the United States, which some Canadian people thought was a betrayal. The US should give it back one of these days
I guess you also have Eskimos, wolves and bears in Alaska. I must visit someday
I think (although not 100% sure) you'll find it was the Russians who sold Alaska to the US.
Ah, yes, in 1867 for 7.2 million according to encylopedia.com. Not bad, considering the size of it.
Well, most of it is uninhabited ice and snow, so it's not THAT much of a bargin.
Just don't eat the yellow snow.....
greeting and salutations, welcome to NZ
Howdy Mace, welcome to the world of sheep and rugby, where every other sentence includes the words 'mate', 'true' or 'sweet.'
I'm amused by the fact that a foreigner to our boards says howdy and we roll through a history lesson of his homeland, one he probably knows.
Never been there, but on my list to go
Have a mate who works up there in the summer at NOLS
so what is new in ALASKA?
He found us!!!
Run for the hills!!
Seriously tho'. Hi Mace, I wondered when you would find your way on to our boards.
He's harmless. Mostly.
I've seen snow--once! [face_shocked]
I'm pretty sure he's just done a oncer. I'll ask him the point of this thread next time I see him on MSN.
Strange lil' Eskimo he is indeed. I hate their pies!
mmmmmmmmmm Lincoln pies mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Ive never seen an Inuet. (Eskimo )
"well, it snows there, a lot. I've never seen snow in real life"
-only snows in the winter and part of spring.
it has been a very late snow year this year...
seems like only Willow and up north have a some.
EDIT:Alaska was bought from the Russians (forgot when... sometime around teh Civil War.)
Alaska Became a state in 1959
The little Eskimo boy doth returnith.
"I guess you also have Eskimos, wolves and bears in Alaska."
Once you getout of the more populated areas like Anchorage/Eagle River...yeah.
"so what is new in ALASKA?"
We have had Electricity as long as anyone else has
And Eskimos are up NORTH NORTH, im in Southcentral Alaska.
And moose are the most common wild Animal (it seems) In Anchorage.
In fact, more moose have been killed by cars, than hunters
Not a great statistical example, hunters should know to get out of the way of an on-coming car.
for those of you with a yearning for some cybre travel you can visit alaska too.
Anchorage, Alaska; you will never find a more retchid hive of scumm and villany.
edit = Anchorage, Anchorhead, Mos Eisly (sp?). Close enough.
that's enough outta you eskimo man.
