Buff, NY Hello! new member here! (Bryan)

Hello Everyone!

This is Bryan (I came to the meeting after Star Wars night) and have been following the group since the Empire Strikes for Bucks bowling event.

First off, I am a huge Star Wars fan ever since I was introduced by my dad as a kid watching A New Hope on VHS! I guess you could say I am more of a fan of the original trilogy but I have been getting more into the prequels and expanded universe. I love that I have found a group who shares my passion and also enjoys helping people at the same time! From what I can see already, the North Ridge is an awesome group and I am really honored to have found you and be welcomed into your group.

A little about me-- I am fairly new to Buffalo, I moved here from California in last November (just in time for your lovely winter!) and work for Moog in East Aurora as an Electrical Engineer. I enjoy being active, exploring the city and doing things like biking, running, canoeing and camping. I also enjoy playing music, audio and sound in general, art/design, building and fixing things, and watching and discussing films.

As for costume ideas, I originally thought Chewbacca (one of my favorite characters) or maybe Jango but I am not sure.

What I can contribute to the group:
I enjoy graphic design and could help with flyers / t-shirts ,
I am energetic and can participate events after mid-August as a non-costumed guy before I get my costume sorted out.

p.s. does anybody still play the star wars customizable card game by Decipher? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Customizable_Card_Game)
I've still got some cards and would love to find someone else who wants to play or wants to learn!
