    I don't see a problem in reposting text from another location.

    To attract the attention of someone here, without firing a flare and setting the ceiling alight, you can type a @ followed by a name; eg.

    NYCitygurl - hi there, query for you from Mister Tomasi, above.

    Generally spoken, it's not allowed to promote other websites (including Star Wars sites) and with re-posting posts, you should keep in mind the laws. I mean, if it's e.g. a poem of another person, than that person owns the rights of it usually. If it's about showing how bad another forum is, then it's against laws as well. There are more examples, but since we don't know what you want to re-post for what reason, we can't give you a direct answer. This being said, there are examples when you can link to another Star Wars site or re-post a post, but those are relativily rare. Best is to give us some more details. :)
