Help me look for a Channel 4 mini-series please

    A mini-series about a fantasy land. All I remember is the end of the final episode that showed a rich Aristocrat in prison (who was the antagonist of the series) and who had a device that forces his mouth to stay open and the warden putting his tongue down the prisoners mouth as punishment. Shown on Channel 4 in the late 90's/early 2000's.
