I have been given an assignment which is due tomorrow.

Requirements: 700 word paper suitable for publication in the University newspaper

Topic: Star Wars FanForce vs. On-Campus Star Trek Club



I am looking for any possible suggestions on how I should write this. What arguements should I make? Please share any suggestions.

As some people can tell, I've posted this thread in more than one place. You can see the others here and here.

 

It's hard to say, I don't know anything about the Star Trek club on campus. Could you compare types of activities each group participates in? Do they do events that have little to do with Trek itself, or are they limited to episode and movie discussions/viewings. How the groups Communicate could be another angle. As Spot has found out they don?t seem to have an active online community the way we do.

 

Maybe look at the demographics as well, girl-guy ratio in both clubs, ages? backgrounds?

Well judging from their website, they look pretty dead over there...

No real suggestions other than the fact the FanForce is a global organization and we have connections with all of them, while your On Campus one seems to be limited to just here. Also, FanForce is a HUGE organization compared to anything I have been able to dig up concerning Star Trek.
