Well, I just happened to be on the lookout for a nice, short, preferably K/J fic to get started on (I'm a very new newbie) when I saw this little one-poster with over one-hundred and fifty responses!

You seem to have gotten some rather... enthusiastic responses to this, so I'm not even going to try and top them. I'll just say that everything everyone else said about this was absolutely true. Do you have other stories? I'd love to read more stuff of this quality.

thanks! as for a prequel or sequel...i'm very much against writing anything if i'm not inspired to write it i can't stand companions that were written merely for the sake of being there *shudders* i've seen/read too many flops but we'll see...

thanks Elfsheen this actually was up for quite a while *due to the start and decline of a rebellion, not to mention a lot of upping * but for some reason there have only been very few k/j'ers (or at least a lot less than i was expecting) show up...doesn't make much sense, but there you go

he, there's something weird with this board. Because I've lurked here for quite some time and I've seen stories being made and broken, but of late, it's jsut boring. I know there're exams and all. But it seems to me that quite a lot of people posts stories and never finish it, or just lurk.

Somehow having readers has become very important, but I've seen the best stories that only had two or three readers in the beginning. It's weird.

well, the reason i dropped out on so much was a) i started being rather unable to read as much j/j as i did b) i was really starting to get into my writing and needed to focus more on that than reading c) exams. it's the end of the schoolyear and teachers love trying to cram everything in.

TJF, I just reread this with a completely different perspective than when I first read it, and it stunned me speechless. I mean... WOW. You... this... Quite simply, this has GOT to be the best fic I've ever read. It's amazing.

Very interesting vignette, TJF. I like how imperfect their love is, how self-destructive it is, but how Kyp gives into that addiction in the end, unable to resist Jaina. And I also like how Kyp is Jaina's weakness, and that despite all of her power, she is still forced to beg this one man for what she needs. Nicely written and conceived. I enjoyed it.

 

thank you LM both for the praise and a lovely review that went a little deeper than what i had just typed out. kyp and jaina have an interesting relationship and while, being similar, they could have something very real, their relationship could be exactly what they shouldn't have, but can't resist in certain situations that they might face eventually -- i tried to portray that in this
