yes, I actually thought of that after I posted, but the way I worded my question the only correct answers were DragonQuest/DragonWarrior and the Tobal series (there were two). Though I forgot he did Tobal. good catch. As for you question, they are related because they get married. Am I right?

 

While technically true, they do have a common ancestor despite being of different races. The ancestory of the characters goes back for thousands of years which is an incredible feat for Tolkien to come up with. So I guess the question still stands or the next 30 mins or so.
