Where was it suggested that Hera was only 17 years old? She's at least in her twenties. Nothing sincerely "creepy" about a 30 year old Lando (though I think he must've been younger than that anyway) flirting with a twenty-something woman. Jeez. You might suggest it was more "creepy" that Han was flirting with a teenage Leia in the first place.

I think he was talking about Lando hitting on Sabine, but regardless, the post you quoted was so full of sexist stereotypes that my only reaction is "I don't even..." and [face_plain].

I suppose Hera was supposed to wear a skirt and whine to be rescued from her own damn ship while Kanan and Ezra wore tight pants and sauntered about muttering "Right here baby" to prove they are...what is it...."potent"?

Idiot's Array: Viagra commercial, Rebels style.

I wonder what we'll learn about Hera in season two? I mean it would be nice to get some more background on what she did before she met Kanan.

It would be nice to see her background, maybe in relation to the Ryloth struggle in TCW. I loved that line "How long before I am fighting you Master Jedi?" Any chance we could see some Aayla Secura flashback? Or more Twi'leks in general who are like Hera? Plus would be cool to see Hera changing outfits sometimes - e.g. like Kanan etc. For example, when on missions, some camoflauge - like Leia did in ROTJ or even ESB.

Yes, but I'd also like to learn whatever happened to Cham following his failed Operation (the attempted assassination of the Emperor and Vader). [My word, were Cham and his people awesome in that novel]

Sadly, I suspect Hera's father another of the Empire's untold number of casualties. A sad (if definitely inspiring) statistic.

But if he lives, how about a scene where father and daughter are able to steal a few moments away with one another and catch up on things? Just as nice, how about Cham sizing-up Kanan and maybe even giving Jarrus the ol' stink eye. "So, you really think you're good enough for my daughter... eh, Jedi?" :)

Either way, I wouldn't say no to a story where Hera and crew revisit Ryloth.

Looking back and remembering scenes from the Clone War -- scenes such as Obi-Wan Kenobi freeing the Twi'lek POWs. Or the last Great Stand of Master Di, Captain Keeli and his men, ensuring that the relief aid from the Republic would find its way to a sick and starving populace. Then there's the remarkable heroics of Mace Windu in liberating the Capital city of Lessu and capturing the cruel Emir Wat Tambor. And who could ever forget the touching account of Republic Troopers Waxer and Boil, and their "Nerra" for life, Numa?

Naturally, any trip to Ryloth will have us (and Hera) fondly -- and perhaps sadly, wistfully -- recalling the exploits of the legendary Twi'lek freedom fighter, Cham Syndulla.

Yes, remembering all of these great moments, contrasted with scenes of a one proud world now almost certainly subjugated by a brutal Imperial doctrine will be difficult to see. But what a story it could tell.

And who knows, maybe we'd even learn whether Imperial Senator Orn Free Taa survived the destruction of the Star Destroyer Perilous. :p

You know one thing that I was wondering recently? I know it's a little cheesy, but do you think it's possible that we might see Hera talking to Rex for the first saying, "you fought with my father during the Clone Wars"?

Nice callback to Luke's line to Ben Kenobi. I like it. :)

But Rex would have to say "Well, only indirectly," right? At least I can't recall any time they met onscreen.

Hera is my favorite character in rebels. I love that she is the pilot and captain of the group. Very excited to learn more about her history and what role she will play in the early years of the rebellion. She is far and away the coolest character since Face from wraith squadron.

I really like Hera as a character and would love to see more of her background, in particular her relationship with her own planet Ryloth and anything to do with Syndulla's line back in TCW of "How long before I am fighting you Master Jedi?" which carried the undertones of the Empire to come.

I think Hera is a good leader and someone who gets people to work together even from differing backgrounds. She also seems to understand that you can't always save everyone.

I like her skills as a pilot and it's good to have a female lead. But I am not sure about the outfit if I'm honest. I think the females in Star Wars have been strong based on personality and express themselves in their outfits how they prefer. E.g. Padme was principled, but still dressed like a princess or elegant young woman. Princess Leia also dressed in a flowing manner as Lando pointed out. Aayla Secura also dressed as an energetic and athletic woman. Shaak Ti and Adia Gallia also dressed in a free flowing or sporty manner.

I think Hera too can change the baggy trousers. It doesn't seem cultural to her species, or fitting with her being a Rebel. We've never seen this in the OT or PT for a pilot on a starship. It seems more for being undercover on a mining world, but for everyday wear, not really in line with her character? Sabine also dresses in a slick fitted bodysuit. So I don't see why Hera can't dress more similar to say Padme or Leia. It wouldn't reduce her character in any way.

I don't think Ahsoka is dressed slutty. In this galaxy, lots of women dress revealing their legs or in body fitting wear. It doesn't take anything away from them. It may be cultural to their species, it may be fashion, it might be appropriate for being a Jedi or for combat, or it might purely be for comfort. I think Ahsoka's athletic look, as was Aayla's expressive costume and Shaak Ti's free flowing Jedi robes look was complimentary to their character and personality, the latter which was the thing which reinforced who they were. Dressing in baggy trousers doesn't feel right for Aayla or her role as a leader or pilot. We've never seen people dress like that. She might dress like a Twilek or else more like Leia in ESB.

I think Sabine has the athletic warrior role. Kanan the Jedi survivor.

I think Hera has the know and the experience and the leadership quality. Background on her would be great.

I do think though her attire could be changed. It doesn't feel reflective of who she is to wear those baggy trousers. Undercover on a mining mission is one thing, but for everyday wear, she would probably dress more like Leia in ESB or a little more like Ahsoka or Aayla.

Hera could be in an attire similar to Adia Gallia for instance.

I may be in the "minority", but I think even the types of trousers Hera wears can be kinda hot.

They seem to me like "mechanic-wear". Maybe Hera sees herself as being as much mechanic as pilot?

This may be more to what some people would suggest is more apropos for Hera to wear instead of the pilot's trousers.

Something similar to that would be ideal yes. It seems/feels more like Hera, the pilot and Rebel. And similar to our heroes from the OT! Nice design!

In fact, that's near perfect. I mean you could have Ahsoka style leggings or trousers, but the overall feel of that attire above is much better for a lead character in particular.

I thought that outfit was fine wasn't it? Fashion changes over time, and on different worlds. Leia and Padme were from these artistic societies who often wore clothes which were flowing and moderny.

I've gotten grief before for objectifying Hera but I will say that Kanan is officially the smartest person in star wars for choosing to fall in love with Hera;)

Leia didn't wear outfits that showed off a ton of skin (well except for the gold metal bikini, but she was FORCED to wear that thing by Jabba). I'm not a fan of the "they're women, so they must show skin" idea, especially since that doesn't tend to happen with the male characters.

Oh and yes, that Padme outfit is stupid, really stupid. Especially for a combat/rescue mission scenario.

    True that.

I think Padme's outfit was torn/damaged during the fighting. Originally it was a one piece not uncommon in the galaxy. Even Leia wore something similar in ESB. Many women of that social status are shown to dress similarly when we see Coruscant.

I don't think they're showing skin for the sake of it. I think it's how they are comfortable and a cultural thing. With Hera, the suggested attire someone posted above is really good and fits her character, role and the story.

Wasn't it mentioned that Leia didn't wear a bra for the Cloud City scene in ESB?

Sorry, I still don't see what the big deal is. It's not like she's wearing nothing underneath the skirt. Much ado about nothing.
